I wouldn't take him even with a big discount. It wasn't meant to be.

The thing i don't get tho is our unlucky charm once again... Cancelo had a surgery and recuperated in less than two months (not that i want him out for eternety, don't get me wrong), and Vrsaljko's knee would take 6 moths at the least... :(

Not to mention the total reliance of the croatian national team on him. So it is best to stay away from him.

We have replaced him with Cedric for the EL spot. I guess that's Sayonara for this guy...

Safe to move this thread in the ex-players I guess? Too bad for the wasted money on the LOAN, as I`m almost sure this was regarded as an advance-payment/1st installment of the transfer fee.

Vrsaljko: 'Out 8-10 months'

Sime Vrsaljko cut his Inter loan spell short because the surgery means he’ll “be out for 8-10 months and I won’t return until I am 100 per cent ready.”

The full-back was meant to see out the season on loan from Atletico Madrid with option to buy, but was sent back to Spain in January.

He managed only 13 competitive appearances for the club and a recurring knee problem eventually required an operation.

“There’s no mystery about it, the recovery process will take 8-10 months. This is normal for the type of surgery I had, which went very well and that is the most important thing,” the Croatia international told Sportske Novosti.

“What I can say for certain is that I won’t return until I am 100 per cent fit. After all the problems I had and the horrible feeling I’d have to give up football forever, my priority is to reach peak fitness and return for the battles to come.

“I am in no rush, I will return stronger than ever.”

Maybe Atletico gets tired of this and sell him for a really cheap price in January 2020. I mean, around 5 millions, if that's the case i may go for him. His attitude has been very good playing with Inter, not a suuuper improvement over Dumbo, but technically he is way more gifted.

Its probably a cartilage issue or partial tears in any of his knee ligaments [ACL, MCL or Meniscus]

Judging by the time out reported 8-10 months, it may have been more serious than what i said though.

Hopefully he recovers well.

I'm so glad this piece of shit has left. Too bad it took us half a season to realise that both Vrsaljko and Atletico were taking us for a ride.

Yes I'm sure he's delighted that he has to take 8-10 months out for injury.

Sad situation for both us and the player. He is better than D'Ambrosio and I think he could have been our starting RB long term. He also wanted to be be here. It’s a shame it didn’t work out.

I wanted this guy to succeed here so bad. Probably wouldn’t have a place in Conte’s formation though, so good for him.

Great game, but i dont even expect less. He is very quality player who unfortunately happen to have tons of injuries. Eventually will get injured again.
