Welcome to Inter.
He's a good player but this isn't a good signing. Not worth it for us right now. Too old and it's not necessary at all. Isn't very cheap either. If we plan to replace someone with flair like Jovetic with someone with no flair like Eder, I don't know what to say. It seems like a desperate attempt to make 3rd place. Well, what if it doesn't happen? We aren't prepared for that.

I predict this signing is going to be pretty much like Palacio's. I was against signing Palacio and for the same reason I am against signing Eder too.
Palacio was a good player but not what we needed. Palacio seemed like a signing to try and make CL. Since we didn't make CL, I count Palacio's signing as a failure. What did we gain from signing him? making 8th place? If we had signed a promising youngster, we might've done the same but at least now after few years he would've had a resale value or he could've helped us now make CL and we didn't need to sign another Palacio-like.
These types of players are signed as part of a short term project and if your project fails, means your signing failed. Eder would only be a success if he manages to give us what we signed him for, CL.
I was torn between 5 and 6 but then decided not to be too harsh on the guy and give him a 6.

One player can't get you to CL. That's not Palacio's fault.
I was like you, disappointed when we got Palacio, but mainly because it felt like we were moving even further away from top signings and going back to the ridiculous logic of getting any Serie A player of the moment. But, I was wrong and if Eder proves to be as good as Palacio I think this would be a good deal. But it's a tall order. After Handa, Palacio was one of the few solid post-Treble signings.
Eder is bad because we need something else more, because it means giving up on players we already have on account of Macnini being clueless to get them to work together productively.
