After Allegri, things can only get better. Motta is coaching rube at the best time possible -

Man U want him too. I just don't see us firing Inzaghi. Soon to make us champions and got us into the champions league final with a weak team for champions league standards. We got knocked out by Madrid by him looking to tie when the game was in the bag.... but again look at the bench we had... utter crap

Motta at Inter isn't going to start a bunch of 20 year olds like he does at Bologna

I am interested for his reasoning for this. Is it as simple as the nature of the job and availability? Being able to manage those cunts? For what he has done this season, you would think that if he was given a guarantee to keep the core intact, he would ply his trade in the CL as an underdog and then leave. Job availability might be different next summer I guess.

Still interested to see how or if he’s received when those clowns visit San Siro next season.

This is about the same as Conte going to coach Inter. In the end it doesn't really matter. He'll stay a legend for Inter and Conte is a legend for Juve. Just how it is.

Nah. Not even close. I loved Motta at Inter and i even own a 2009/10 Motta jersey. But his status at Inter was never close to the one of Conte at Juventus. Motta was just a good player of our treble squad who stayed for couple seasons at the club. He never showed any attachment to the colours.

The equivalent of Conte coming to Inter would be Materazzi coaching Juventus.

If Conte could become Inter's coach nothing will ever surprise me. This is not even comparable as the guy spent 2.5 years here. All the worst there though, for purely sporting reasons.

Honestly it wasn't THAT surprising. Even when he was coaching at Juventus he had said he is a professional and he would coach any Italian club, including Inter and Milan. Ever since that press conference i was expecting him to join Inter or Milan sooner or later.

Well, the rumours started after we got some comfortable lead in Serie A and it became clear that Allegri would not coach Gobbi next season.

I do not think that Motta going to Gobbi is a big deal for us as Inter fans. Yeah, he was an integral part of the team that won the treble but he has never shown some special attitude towards our club and I would not put him legendary status. He showed himself with Bologna and now he has the opportunity to get to another level.

Well if you want to remain in Italy, and your former club currently has fucking Inzaghi, then your only worthy upgrade options are Milan and Juve. It's a professional career and he has to look for his best.

Motta is not remotely close to Conte. Conte is like Marotta going back to Juve and taking Zanetti with him. 😬

It´s funny how all of the people here are mad at players who go to play / train Juve considering the biggest of all Inter legends our Stadium is named after played both for Milan & Juve. I know it was long before our rivalry with Juve truly became a thing, yet still.

It´s especially funny that we´re talking about a player who played for us for 2.5 years.

Personally, I remember Motta more for 2010/2011 season than for 2009/2010. Not that he didn´t do great in the Treble Year (his goal against Milan and through pass assist to Milito in Coppa final were absolute class), but in 2010/2011 him and Eto'o were the two players who really helped us avoid turning that season into a total disaster. I gotta give it to Motta for staying composed while the rest of the Treble-winning team was absolutely crumbling into pieces.
