Fuck me what a shit name to have on your shirt, just at a time when we have more visibility due to the right reasons.
A fucking gambling sponsor at that. The lesser of two evils when compared with that crypto shit, but it’s still shit. Qatar Airways should offer more for fucks sake, or we should just hold out for a better sponsor. Is it that Zhang just sucks at getting the right sponsors? Seems like nobody respects us in these circles or Zhang and his crew are such inexperienced newbies that everyone tries to low ball them every chance they get. Or is it some aversion of doing business with the Chinese? Because this is getting ridiculous. We reached the CL final last year, we’re on our way to winning the Scudetto and are in a good spot in the CL this year. It’s quite infuriating.

30M€ is a great main sponsorship income. Same as Milan with Emirates.

But it doesn't look good on the shirts, so Nike has to step up big time to compensate if they want those sales. No messing around with next year's jersey!!

You can create a legendary kit and earn big bucks on it if you make it right.

I have a question (i'm not an economist), In what scenario we don't need to sell our players (key players) next season?
Will we have enought money to buy Frattesi and Carlos Augusto (obligation to buy) without making sacrifice for next year?
Thank you in advance!
PS There is obligation to buy for Arna also, but i hope its not big junk of our budget for next season

sadly theres no EASY way to predict it.

It depends on loads of factors, for example our run into the CL this year. A good run, and allegedly 50m euros from world club champnioships, means we SHOULD be okay next year. It will also depend on how the Oaktree debt impacts - we're starting to carry more and more of it on Inter's books rather than the holding company (eg.money has been loaned by holding company to Inter) which means it hits our P&L more.

Last year we would have had balanced books EXCEPT for the financing costs + non payment of sponsorship.

Assuming we win the league and, say, get to the CL semis, this year in isolation could look pretty healthy all things considered, BUT theres so much context around that that I'd be cautious about guarantees

Thanks for answer!
Really hope that we don't sell any of our first team players, whatever the offer is.
I understand that we have expenditure (salaries, stadium and whatnot), but with progress in league (1st place?) and Champions league (semifinals) are we able to hold on our players? Adding one or two players at most? (Not couting Zielinski or Taremi)

The current expectation is that we wont need to sell anyone major in the summer. We may CHOOSE to sell - e.g. Dumfries - but that will likely be adding money to the transfer pot.

That being said, there's a lot of uncertainty so please dont take my word. We have our loan needing to be refinanced, and that will likely have a bigger bearing on the outcomes than anything about our sporting performance for the season.

It will also depend on what bonuses (for example) get activated in contracts, etc.

Dont expect us to spend big either way, but to be honest, we dont NEED to spend big. Another CB and a GK (longer term, e.g. buy + loan?) we're probably in a pretty good space as long as we dont have any major departures?

Also we need to see the impact of Growth Decree removal on our wage bill that we need to decrease every year. Especially since we have many players who are in for salary increases.

Removal of Growth Decree affects only the new players like Taremi. Mkhitaryan, Darmian, Thuram, Pavard, these all who has the ability to use the Growth Decree tax break, got their contract/extension before Growth Decree was abolished.

One factor is the pay raises. Dimarco got a nice bump, Barella and Lautaro will get bumps too, Dumfries also if he stays. Bastoni got his bump last summer so his improved numbers will be seen in this year's books already.

Also funny detail is that Thuram, Pavard, Sommer will get their gross salaries decreased now that the year changed. They'll become Italian tax residents (enough days in Italy) so they'll get the Growth Decee tax break only now. They were a bit more expensive for the first part of the season.

Betsson used to be one of my clients. They're a MASSIVE gaming and gambling company. They're fully legit. Publicly traded, and worth billions. Huge org.

With our current development trajectory, can't we wait until the end of the season to see if there is a better offer, or do we just believe that's it, let's finalise the deal now since this deal is too good to pass up? This 30 million plus bonus may be relatively small in comparison to the other top five league clubs.

30mil is also still pretty good for Serie A, except I think Sass and Juve who have owner-linked sponsorship deals so dont count tbf

like, last year was a good time to do it, and the best we got was one year of paramount+ tbf?

Exactly, the Oaktree loan is the factor that will affect the outcome.
But other than a new goalie, we are pretty much set. Even with the CB`s. De Vrij is performing way better that the last 2 years and we could rotaate him and Acerbi and keep them fresh. If Tajon is integrated, Darmian could actually be back-up for 4 positions: RWB, RCB, LWB and LCB. Bastoni or Pavard could by necessity also cover the middle of CB.

They are reporting Qatar Airways were in the end offering only 16-18m per year. Which sounds ludicrous. Emirates is paying Milan 30m.

We've been talking about this before but is there any other reason for this discrepancy than the business connections? Zhangs vs Elliott/Cardinale. Who is having these negotiations seems to matter a lot. I refuse to believe it is our Antonello to be at fault here that he can fetch only 18m€ offer from Qatai Airways while Milan equivalent guy got 30m€ from Emirates over year earlier. Of course there's been long history between Milan and Emirates so there's that, but still. The numbers are so different here.
