Passing to Thuram was the right call and more likely to lead to a goal, but it still required to a perfectly weighted pass by Barella and for Thuram to finish it.

Shooting from that position wasn’t too outrageous.

Yeah nothing wrong with shooting from there. The problem was the way he did it. He did it like he takes his volley shots from outside the box. Awkward way to shoot the ball in that situation.

Does anyone doubt that? It's not even close either. He is our midfield.

Matches like this show us who is truly a level above the others. Made whole athletico s midfield his bitch.
