Litterally destroyed Lino. I love Dumfries' character, he plays with courage and his lack of technique is greatly compensated by his speed and his physicality. My commentator said "Jesus, how strong is Dumfries?" when he shoved Lino away like he was made out of feathers.

10 years of FIFHe's been quite solid lately, but tonight's impact was incredible. He's basically changed the whole match. Loved his confidence with the ball and also on physical duels. He can't be left in the bench from now on. Darmian is going through a poor form recently, so let him have a break.

He’s been returning from injury as well. Not that the contract situation isn’t also playing on his mind, but I’m sure he will be returning to the starting 11 soon based on that performance.

Love Darmian but this guy needs to be a starter. And play Buchanan as his sub! Darmian should be Pavards back up.

Most Diverse PosterI'm going to say that it was right to start Darmian (and Mhkitaryan & Calhanoglu too). Playing fresh Dumfries against a tired Lino is a typical Inzaghi trick. Sure, I would start Dumfries now that we are up front and Atletico will go on the offensive, but how Inzaghi managed the first game was good enough for me.

But why not playing fresh Dumfries from start and then play Buchanan who looks like real threat.

10 years of FIFThis is the key. There needs to be a balance (left vs right) and bringing in fresh offensive player on the flank is a weapon you need to have in your pocket.

so to play against a tired Lino, its better to start with Dumfries and finish with Darmian or TB depending how we want to risk. If still 0-0 at minute 70 of the return game, let Darmian go in.

Smart move from him if true. He needs us more than we need him. Some of his massive limitations are currently decently hidden away by our system, and I was already predicting, if he goes somewhere like man utd in search of a better salary he would get eaten alive, similarly to onana.
