You don't need to "sell" a player like Maicon, he sells himself. If clubs know that he was available and yet, the only offer we got was 4+2 million, then this is the reality of his value.

If he was worth more, clubs would've come themselves to knock on our door.

we shoot ourselves in the foot a bit by making it how obvious we were to force maicon and julio out. probably the best way to lower a players value, though we didn't have a hell of a lot of options

I'd really love to thank Mancini for helping us get rid of his wages and will cheer for Maicon on the Man City Bench. Sucks we didn't get De Jong for him especially considering Milan is only offering $4 million for him + bonuses

Zanetti/Naga is good enough for this season as we realistically don't have the money to bring in better options and I don't see many better options unless some wonder kid pops up somewhere

We easily made a profit on him because of the success we had. But that fee will raise to 6mil so we will break even with his purchase and sale alone

next mercato i believe we'll get another CM/DM to replace deki or cambi
plus de jong want 3-3.5 mil/years it meants too much for us now when we still had cambi [4mil/years] and deki [3.5 mil/year]

Funny that, why havent we even approached Cambiasso and Stankovic regarding reducing wages? I havent read about those 2 all mercato long.
Cambiasso at 2.5 and Deki at 1.5 would be reasonable.

At least from now on our wages will be sensible and governed by our finances to comply with FFP, so we are near the end of giving players high wages that could potentially damage the club or force an undesired action such as termination
