The expectations are such that the main attackers rest in the matches of Empoli, Bologna, Salertina, etc.
But no expectations on CL games from him.

I expect him to at least know how to stop the ball with his feet, but he couldn't do even that. He is actually worse than I thought.

This was his 4th ever CL start. His last came vs Inter who fielded Orlandoni as the main GK and Obiora as starter, where he scored :D

Arnautovic's playing style was not meant for games VS teams like Sociedad. You throw him in if you're pinning them into their box and need a big body, but if you want to play, you need a player who can at least outrun an average goalkeeper.

Sanchez starting would have made more sense and he's already been doing well with Martinez for a few years back whenever they played together in Europe. You then throw Thuram and only throw Marko as a desperation move or if the score is settled.

These excuses are usually valid for a kid e.g. Asllani. People tend to forget we paid 8-10m and this guy has one year left in his tank. No "learn" or "adapt", grandpas should be "instant impact".

This is a bad deal no matter how you guys sugarcoat it.

Nobody could guarantee you success, no matter how much you pay. Just look at Chelsea for example or any other team that spends crazy money on players.

Though he's already an instant impact, just because he was terrible last night, does that mean he's a bad player or is already off the project?

Arna has been fine so far. It's pretty damn stupid to point points on anyone from last night's performance. If you exclude Pavard, maybe even Sommer then the rest were absolute garbage. We made a slight improvement in the second half but that was still not enough considering our level.

We needed an experienced striker right now. Market was very tight when it comes to strikers and our management had to change plans since Lukaku deal collapsed. Things aren't as simple as it's being written here.

I don't think he's that special, but at least I still think he can be useful in particular moments while having Lautaro and Thuram as starters. No need to get ahead of yourselves and make a big deal out of nothing. We have a very competitive attack these days. No need to lower our heads just because of one bad game.

10m for this while we sold Brozo for 19. Travesty. Guy could barely walk and now he cant even that.
We bought Correa for 30+mln and sold Coutinho for peanuts. Any relation? No.
Same with your post. Brozovic, Arna, why didn't you mention Onana as well?

1. Brozo wanted to get paid more and Saudis offer was too big for Inter to match. So Brozo wanted OUT.
2. Do not forget that by selling Brozo, the most important part for FFP was the money we could save on wages, not the transfer fee we can get. It has been said before that some player will have to leave to lower the wage bill, which we did.
3. Yeah, I don't like Arnautović either and I would love for us to spend the 10mil on some other striker, but that was the only thing our management found, so we just have to eat it for now. Sooner or later Inzaghi will see that it was a mistake and will rarely play Arnautović.

You say it literally. Arnau is most likely out for a large part of the season.

Jesus Christ so many here is still defending him. Speechless. There is not a single reason; age, price, low profile, injury history, physical. But people are seeing nice touches here and there are something fancy.

Yeah, I was about to write that too.
There is no relation to Brozovic 's sale and Arnautivic's arrival.

We sold brozovic for Frattessi
Jesus Christ I am not writing who is bring for who. We sold one of our best players, yes, one of our best players for 19m. And in the same mercato we paid 10m for a guy that was never good and who is already literally fucked. Hope he can atleast perform against bottom and shitty teams.

Jesus Christ, what's the point of mentioning then? Why not mention we brought in Pavard for 28m while at it?

I have close to 0 hope with Arnautovic anyway, I just hope Lautaro or Thuram don't get injured.

Because brozovic isn't exactly a terrible bussiness either. You replace Brozovic for Frattesi, you have to wait until the end of the season to judge that. Calha is doing a fine job replacing him.
