His poor matches this season were when we performed poorly as a whole. If we had Hakimi and Perisic this season, they too would be underperforming when nothing was clicking in the first half of the season.
As for the comments in this thread, I too struggle to relate with some fans because it feels more like an anti-Inter message board of some other club. I understand that some people can't cope with loss well and that they perhaps also struggle with being on the (management's) side that made stupid decisions and now has to cope with consequences of those actions. Another fraction of fans also possibly has the timeline of events leading to this wrong, or they selectively pick and choose the bits and pieces that fit their narrative. Some expect the player to behave like the village donkey, to take beating until the spine snaps (metaphorically but also literally in this case).
Even a die-hard Interista like let's say Dimarco has to be aware of the comments - not on antiquated FIF of course but elsewhere online against Skriniar and even they can't stay oblivious about certainty of the same inevitable scenario happening to them too, the very second the club deems them expendable as well.
Ungratefulness is the worst, and it's very grating. I'll also remind you that we still have to extend Bastoni and Dzeko, the latter who replied with "ask the club" last night when the press asked him about the new contract. Not to be confused with my personal opinion on whether we should extend Dzeko to begin with.
