Not sure why he insists on having Dzeko start in a game where we mostly look to counter. Dzeko is useless in that type of setup.
Not only that, but for 2 years it's painfully obvious that Toro and Dzeko don't click. They both make the same moves up front and don't seem to communicate.

Wonder how many assists one has to the other

Lukaku isn’t in capable of playing 60 minutes every 3/4 days sadly and he probably wanted to ensure Lukaku be the one to be fresh should the team need goals late in the game. And up till yesterday a pylon was more useful than Correa.

It’s clear Dzeko’s done though, and should be our 4th striker right now. Hopefully Correa’s goal helps his confidence. I’d start him and Lautaro next game.

Our players got to rest and didn’t have to travel so they should have no excuses to deliver against empoli.

I really wish someone at the post match conference asks him why the fuck people like gaglia or bellanova didn't get more chances from the first minute this season. I know they are mediocre, but they can imo be more than adequate against teams like empoli, at least just so you can keep your main players fresher going further into the season. I m convinced we could have had a bunch of more points if he did that when it counted the most.

I agree with the sentiment but fucking Gagliardini getting more chances? I want to lynch Inzaghi when I see him on the pitch

Same here, but we are fans and we often live in a dreamland.

Reality is we won today and barella got his rest, why the fuck he didn't have the balls to do this more often is beyond me...

Got the job done and decent subs today. However, what the hell was that 1st half performance all about. Rust? Using players that hadn't worked together? Or basically Inter's bench is just terrible.

I think Inzaghi would do really good in an stable team, because he's pretty great tactically but it seems he's not a good motivator, at least in the sense that he cannot get his players to keep concentration for 90 minutes every game.

Also the ownership problems and the Škriniar shenanigans have evidently affected our season, I don't know if the effect was 5 or 10 or 15 points but it was definitely significant, and keeping the players mind on the game and not on outside factors seems like one of Inzaghi's weak spots.

Finally we have had too many long injuries, Škriniar, Brozović, Lukaku and Correa all have been injured for about half a season each. Juist imagine if we had lost Škriniar, Brozović and Lukaku for similar amounts of time under Conte's last season, no way in hell we would have gotten that Scudetto, hell we may have been fighting for top 4 then too.

The problem with Brozović is not only that we lose him, it's that then we run Çalhanoğlu, Mkhitaryan and Barella into the ground, and the same applies for Lautaro and Džeko playing so many games because of Lukaku and Correa injuries, you're gonna misfire a lot more if you're super tired.

In defense even without Škriniar injuries and problems we always looked short on players. Acerbi and specially Bastoni have made a lot of mistakes, and again probably have a lot to do with exhaustion, it's hard to keep concentration for 90 minutes when you're tired and Bastoni has looked very tired in many games.

For next season, if we keep everyone (except Škriniar and Lukaku) we're short 2 CBs, 1 MF and 2 FWs, the only position we're good is WBs but even there it would be great to upgrade to a really top game changing player since that position is so important to our game.

Then we could also change coach and formation in which case we'll only need 1 CB and 1 MF but 4 WFs.

Keep everyone healthy is also part of the coach's job. Of course when Inzaghi pushes players too much, for his ultra attacking football, they gonna tired soon and increasing the risk of injury.

We all see how he overused Mikhy when playing him nonstop >10 matches or so. Although the former is 34 years of age and we still have Asllani desperately needing minutes to develop, for both his own sake and the club's sake.

Another more simple solution is changing the tactics, lowering the match tempo and playing defensive-counterattacking football. It allows our players to catch more breath and get more points in a long run. But that is never in Inzaghi's notebook. Basically we run full throttle in a marathon run. As the consequence, you know, we are so shit in the league.

This guy needs to go on an improbable run of form to close the season to convince me he should stay next season. We can’t risk another dogshit campionato, even if his European performance has been above expectations.

If he wins the CL, he will upgrade himself in the first place. In that case I personally don't mind continuing with him provided that he still has the respect of players. If he lost the dressing room and our CL run is not his merits but it's just players putting extra effort out of their own interest, then we better wave goodbye to him at the end of the season. Of course we don't know it, I hope the management does and will do the necessary decision if need be

No. What is the point of Inzaghi staying if the club will sell starters even if we win CL?

Poor guy. Even if we reach CL for next season, he's gonna have a shitty squad next year and everybody will smart off how shit Inzaghi is.

Then when he goes to Liverpool or Chelsea everyone will be saying how useless we were for letting him go

We even see this with Spalletti now to a degree.

The point is that unlike other coaches Inzaghi wont complain and wont blame mgm for the situation which is exactly what the people in charge want.......

INZAGHI AND INTER USE MOURINHO’S ‘NOISE OF ENEMIES’ IN KEY MOMENT OF THE SEASON
La Repubblica highlights that Inter and Simone Inzaghi are using José Mourinho’s ‘noise of enemies’ to keep the team united in the key moment of the season.

The Nerazzurri are in contention for a top-four finish in Serie A and have qualified for the Champions League and Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Their coach Inzaghi has been under severe pressure after suffering 11 defeats in 31 Serie A matches and La Repubblica highlights how the Italian tactician is using a well-known method at the Pinetina to unite the team during the last month of action.

The Nerazzurri ‘claim that occult forces are plotting against the club,’ explains Franco Vanni reporting the latest quotes from the coach and Inter defender D’Ambrosio.

Last Sunday, after their first win in five league matches, the experienced centre-back said: “I have to say Inter is not always protected enough, from all points of view. I’ve been here for 10 years and I’ve seen every sort of thing.
“There are always reasons to attack the club, the team and the coach.”

Both Inzaghi and Marotta claimed something similar in their latest interviews. “I know from where some criticism comes, and I am not concerned about them,” said Inzaghi in Empoli on Sunday.
“Clearly, coaches are exposed to criticism but are accustomed as professionals, so they have to understand where the criticism comes from,” argued Marotta before Inter-Monza on April 15.

Inzaghi is ‘using this situation to motivate the team,’ wrote Repubblica journalist Vanni.
‘United against an invisible enemy’ ahead of key games in Champions League, Coppa Italia and Serie A.

This is the same strategy used by Inzaghi’s predecessors Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
The Special One, who won the treble in 2010, spoke about the ‘noise of enemies’ in his last season at the club, in one of his most iconic press conferences as an Inter coach.
Let`s see if it works on these players..

The invisible enemy or the occult? WTF are these journos talking about one does not need to invent magical BS to see that the media in italy clearly is out for inter.......
For fucks sake a self proclaimed interista regularly shits on us on TV.... I wont even start with the refs and the figc s weird decisions when it comes to inter over and over again...
But sure we re making up dark forces that are trying to keep us down... Fuck these journos and their utter incompetence of seeing whats right before them
