Lautaro has no problem scoring for the national team. His issue at Inter is clearly confidence. He did everything wrong yesterday. It's a huge problem and i don't know how it can be solved. Would it be better to bench him or it would make things even worse? Managing Lautaro is going to be very tricky.
I think Inzaghi also has no clue how to handle it, so he just lets him play and hopes for the best...

Last year at least Conte put Lautaro in a ring. We are missing somebody really yelling at him. It must be crushing for him when he finally has time and space to step up and he can't. All those offside goals and missed goals don't help.

I think he is brilliant when he runs behind the defence and gets a long ball. That also haven't happened in a while. His flopping on the floor, his inability to beat a defender and overall slowness are big problems. I wish he was at his best at all times, but it's not the first time he 'lost it'. He'll have to be sold.

The saddest thing of all is he literally doesn’t excel at anything. He’s not quick, he’s not great at dribbling and he’s certainly not a finisher. He’s decent at pressing and can head the ball ( but being short nullifies that quality anyways) .

It’s becoming more and more evident that Lukaku made this guy. Defenders were so focused on him that he was the perfect decoy. Same thing in the national team with Messi.

Yeah, it's some fucking mental thing, has to be.

His scoring record with Argentina is actually pretty fucking good. There is some immense pressure on his shoulders at Inter shirt clearly.

That's why I said our best time to sell him will likely be next January. Hopefully he has a good world cup with Argentina. Right now I can imagine us getting 40m for him.

maybe Sassuolo, Empoli, Venezia etc have better defense and harder to beat than Venezuelas, Bolivias so Lolitaro cant perform well......

TBH I still think he is good, not in form doesn't mean he has reached his potential or he is finished, but I think the best for him is to bench 1 or 2 games and then come back.

P.S. I saw a few plays he had yesterday were pretty good, not referring to the shootings.

For those who said he does not specialize in anything, but good all around, which is also equivalent to saying he is a complete striker, which is also what Messi thinks of him.

I really like your optimism and your faith in inter players, but i can't see even the slightest reason that we can be optimistic about everything that related to lautaro, instead of things will be better at every match, its just the opposite, somhow he getting even worse..

I totally agree with your statement and I certainly am not defending his performances! Promise you that.

However I remember his contribution and his goals he scored 2 volleys in particular stand out (bullet pass from Kaku, crosw from Barella) and the goal he scored v Barca, these come to mind and these remind me he has for sure 100% got it in him, it feels like he is having a mental block, he needs to get over this and get back to the Toro we know and love.

He's still super Toro to me and I believe.

He is in some kind of mental hole, and he has to calm down. We need him to start scoring, at least to sell him for a bigger money in the summer.
