I don't entirely agree that selling of Lautaro will be big mistake. It will be if we sell him in the last minute without proper replacement in line, just like we did with Lukaku. But if we hypothetically sell him for 75-80mln and invest those money in Scammacca and Raspadori for example, I'm all in about it. Both of them will earn less than Lautaro and will have bigger impact than him, unless an heavy injury hits them.
I don't also think that Lautaro is so important player in our current style of play. Someone with better dribbling and pace will be more useful.

Lautaro back to squad player when Icardi still there... back to factory setting.
He need Lukaku to unlock his skill last season.. This is just my opinion.
I mean his connection with Lukaku so unreal, just like Barella - Brozovic connection.

Yet his goal tally is roughly the same. People seem to have amnesia and forgot that he was horribly inconsistent last season too but I just gave him the benefit of the doubt.

As many have said here, his ceiling is probably not as high as I thought it'd be.

The problem with this guy is who can we partner him with? Cos unless Lukaku is coming back I don’t see any of the names being mentioned that are compatible with him.

Dybala: 2 midgets, no pace
Scammaca: no pace
Raspsdori: 2 secondary strikers
J.David: 2 short guys, no guaranteed goal scorer

If we can’t get Lukaku back we should consider changing formation to a 3-4-3. Could even fit Perisic and Gosens in that formation together

I don’t know what exactly flipped but I really don’t feel like relying on him anymore beyond this season.

Of course he is happy here. Here he can be shite and still play in starting eleven.
It's not like we have any decent replacements currently on our bench so we can drop him ..

I'm sure if there was he would have been dropped.

The problem with this guy is that he’s just not good enough for Inter. He would be a perfect striker for Sampdoria, Torino, even for Atalanta but not for inter, that’s not his level Let’s just acknowledge that fact and move on

Fuck off if you are going to criticise him for his performance tonight.

It is no coincidence that we looked my dangerous and incisive when he came on. Starting with Dzeko and Sanchez ensured that Genoa's defence would be able to keep pace with and contain our grandpa forward line.

He shouldnt be criticised for his game last night, he actually looked dangerous.

On the pace part though, lol, he has no pace. I wouldn't be surprised if sanchez is faster

He looked good yesterday, benching might have done the trick, if he was subbed on 10 minutes earlier he may have scored, who knows.

I don't mind him being on the bench again, if he's going to come on and make impact and earn his spot back might be what he needs.

Forza Toro.

I remember back then I used to have some fucking average Belgian striker called Luigi Pieroni for my Master League team in the old Winning Eleven/PES games, simply because I thought he had a cool name. He sucked big time considering he had piss poor stats but he was the undisputed starter for my team regardless because I wanted to give him a push so much.

It's kind of similar with Inter and Lautaro. Well, Lautaro is definitely a much better than Pieroni obviously. But he is at best a decent player. A 6/10 or 7/10 rated player in my book. For some reason, we want him to be the face of our team and hence him starting almost every game despite playing like shite for a long period of time.

I had always hoped he would develop into an 8.5/10 player, but I'm done having that hope for now.

lautaro cant excel by himself, unless he have players with the same level playing with the same concentration each match
he is not a killer sadly, he needs 3+ chances to score 1

It's hard to find the proper way to play a slow, plodding number nine who can't dribble, but also isn't a lethal finisher. He worked so well with Lukaku because he could do all of the dirty work and then pick up the scraps of whatever Lukaku could not capitalize on. With Dzeko deciding that he's a fucking box-to-box, Wayne Rooney wannabe striker picking up the ball in the midfield, there's really no use for Martinez. He can't score from a cross. He can't run in behind a defense. It just isn't working. That's why the Alexis - Dzeko striker partnership works, even though they have an average age of 34.

Scamacca could actually be the solution, in my opinion. Scamacca has legitimate hold up play ability. We've all noticed that Dzeko's passing abilities are long gone. He can still trap the ball, but he has zero ability to distribute it. Scamacca could attrack defenders and create opportunities for Martinez to score more. My concern is that I'm not sure Scamacca and Martinez are good enough finishers to consistently win games. Dzeko sucks, but at least he can (sometimes) put teams away with excellent finishing inside the box. Dzeko can have a horrible game, and still score out of nowhere to finish things off (like Icardi). Scamacca and Martinez can't do that.

This guy shouldn't even be receiving a wage this week. That was a pathetic attempt to play football from him. He tried, I think 3 cross field passes and mis placed them all. Numerous touches and passes he miscontrolled and lost and looked in no way threatening.

Really really worrying form. Honestly he should be dropped for the next 2 to 3 games at least. Give correa a run in the team now he's back.
