That’s the problem. Sevilla are completely different from everyone we faced yet Conte did the same shit. He thought we’d just walk all over them but Sevilla are an actual well coached team who can hold the call and defend. This is completely on Conte.

He was so adamant to his "don't change a winning recipe" mindset that he couldn't believe he had to make a change after 75 minutes, being behind in the score.

Losing to this disgusting band of fakers and gypsies ("Sevilla") is absolutely unbearable

Let's look at the posititive. Sevilla beat Liverpool with klopp in this competition and the year after Liverpool went to the champions league finals, or was it two years after? Anyway, let's try to look at similarities. They were building a project then and we are building one now. This game keeps us grounded. After shakhtar we got lulled into thinking this team is ready. This is a reminder they aren't yet. We still need some more quality.

This will give us the experience we certainly lack. We gave them the match after their third goal, we gave up with 20min remaining on the clock, that's fucking sad. Also, Conte rigid tactics costed us a game, again. We need to sort that shit out for the next season.

I pray this was the last time we saw Gagliardini with Inter's shirt.

I'm not being funny but as a fan of both teams, both were as bad as each other at play acting and throwing themselves on the floor.

It was good to see Inter again in the finals, I'm not gonna be pointing out the mistakes, tho I could do a lot of them but the game have shown where we miss against top teams. Honestly, we're 2-3 years behind top teams still. STILL. That is a good result tbh. With little luck we can compete with the top in 1-2 years. Great heart to the engaged, hoping the progress will keep on going, it's not like the others will stop. 2-3 right signings and the trophy would have been ours.

Sevilla is not a top team, and we were pretty much outclassed.

I don't want to complain from the ref decisions, because complaining from the ref for 10 fucking years and still don't figure it out that it's not always going to work in our way, looks retarded. Olympiakos got robbed for a CLEAR FUCKING GOAL in the 1/16, smaller teams than us get tougher share from the refs and are not complaining.

And don't tell me you didn't notice that on 2-2, when we were supposed to do something, Barella went down holding his face when the opposite player touched him on the shoulder in hope that we will get that player sent off. :palm:

And this is entirely on Conte, dude waits to concede third goal to just throw in three players in the 75th minute :chan:

He didn't prepare his team well and to begin with he didn't prepare that hot head of his for his game. I hope he doesn't pull excuses out of his ass and blames someone else for this. All that talk after the Atalanta game like he is this guy that does everything right but yet someone else screws him over goes to the toilet after this. He needs to shut up, take responsibility or he may fucking quit for all I care.

They scored from 2 set pieces and a cross. We were not out classed. It's one game, they got the better of it tonight.

I don’t blame Conte nor the team for this loss. This is a new team.

Sevilla is also a "new team".

New coach appointed on the same week as Conte.

Nine of their starters were new signings. That is the number 9. Nine out of 11. New coach and 9/11 new signings.

You don't believe this?
Bono - Jesús Navas, Koundé, Diego Carlos, Reguilón - Fernando, Jordán, Banega, Ocampos, Suso - De Jong

Bono, free transfer from Girona in summer 2019
Jesus Navas - existing player
Kounde - transferred from Bordeaux in summer 2019
Diego Carlos - transferred from Nantes in summer 2019
Reguillon - loaned from Real Madrid in summer 2019
Fernando - transferred from Galatasaray in summer 2019
Jordan - transferred from Eibar in summer 2019
Banega - existing player
Ocampos - transferred from Marseille in summer 2019
Suso - loaned from Milan in winter 2020
De Jong - transferred from PSV in summer 2019

Sevilla deserved to win, but we definitely weren't as bad as Sevilla in the play acting department (apart from Lautaro's dive ). Not even close. That's what experienced teams do though, Sevilla did anything to run the clock down and it took whatever rhythm the players had left out of them and we were toothless in those last 20 minutes.

GG.

Deserved loss. Don't deserve to win when you're defending like that. Our passing was horseshit yet again. Conte's subs were also too late yet again.

Conte outplayed in Europe again. These teams just play around the outside of formations like his and force the wingbacks into their own half throughout the game. If we're playing with these wingbacks we have and a back 3 I think we need to be pressing higher more consistently. Meh, whatever... Too disappointed to care at the moment. Hakimi will need to be a Superman though.

Where did I say we out classed sevilla but? Like you said they outclassed us?

The point being, you can’t be outclassed if the other team scores from setpieces? That’s mental.

Well outclassed usually means cut open, couldn't get near the ball, beaten easily. None of that happened tonight so I've no idea how we were "outclassed". Rom missed a 1v1,candreva chance, sanchez cleared off the line did they have a chance that didn't come from a set play?
Neither team out classed the other. It was a very tight game. I'm not begrudging them either for scoring from set pieces, but absolute lunacy to suggest we were out classed.

Sevilla is a team that for years have kept their level very high. They maintained their main team at a very stable for many years. Not like us, winning CL and then going down the next year after..
