For me the biggest issue is the defence. Conte's teams are usually known for their good defence and ours is all over the place. Since Inter hired Conte, defence became from our strength to our weakness. I am not sure if it has to do with the formation or the players but we need to fix it if we want to achieve anything meaningful next season.

CB available : De Vrij, Skriniar, Bastoni, Godin, D'ambrosio, Ranocchia.

3 CB experience : De Vrij, Ranocchia, D'ambrosio.

Skriniar and Godin still new in 3 CB formation. They same as entry level so please don't hope they become Chiellini, Barzagli, and Bonucci.

In other hand, i think De Vrij already the best CB in serie A right now. Bastoni alreaedy best young CB in Serie A. Thanks to Conte.

I don't know, the option is two. Part way with Godin and Skriniar and take other 3 man defense CB ( Azpilicueta ) or young CB ( Kumbulla ).

Or wait Skriniar and Godin settled in 3 CB formation. Skriniar will become Vidic if fail. If success he become Chiellini.

He really needs to consider that the game is 90 minutes. We come out very aggressive and and pretty sharp in possession and attacking plays, but it's proving difficult to maintain that tempo as the game wears on. The timing and quality of his subs continue to leave the result in the balance. We can cry about missed opportunities and lack of quality on the bench, but conte knows this and should it must factor into the gameplan moving forward. We've shot ourselves in the foot too many times this season.

Conte is not getting sacked, but he has to be better.

Do you think Conte told them "Ok, we have a lead, take it easy"?
It's those fuckers on the pitch it's not Conte. As somebody said before, we had the game under control and those fuckers should have killed it.

There is no use in watching Inter as long as Conte is the coach.

I think it's the players mentality from the banter era still lerking around. If I was cnte I would another overhaul the next season to get rid of it for once and all. The good that we witnessed this season is sign of how our team will look like without this stinky mentality.
I strongly believe conte moratta and Co will work on this for next season starting by removing shitt players.
The management is in the right direction by signing erikson and hakimi

Apparently kept the team in the locker room after the game for over an hour going fucking mental. Hope he tore them to pieces.

Conte made mistakes but I trust moving forward with him. I'm glad we have a coach who has the full backing of the board. So often these fucking players give up to get the coach out. This time it'll be the players getting the boot.

I hope too. This team always giveaway goal after they lead. Even after 2-0, we can't sure we win.
Our team seems have mental issue. Their mind sometimes not focused, and make cheap individual mistake.
The worst part is after mistake, they demotivated and not try to recover.

Apparently put out some subliminal ultimatums and was also livid about the penalty situation saying something along the lines of it being discussed privately in the locker room and they should have done better. I guess Lukaku takes them all from here on out. Still...

This is an on-point post.

Conte needs to read the game better. What happened when Lautaro missed the penalty? After 3 minutes of that, Miha makes 3 subs. He brings in fresh legs to put pressure on the team which just missed a golden opportunity to end the game. He turned the situation all over. We start to be a bit shaky, lose confidence and so on. Conte don't react enough. Conte's first sub comes only after we concede that first Bologna goal.

According to the reports it was Marotta who kept everyone in the locker room. Hopefully Conte too.

guys

its his first season here. he's cleared out a load of shit already, and it takes longer to fix major problems that have plagued us for a decade now.

He's entitled to want to see how he can ge Vecino, Gagliardini, Candreva, etc playing. It's been a failed experiment for them, and he's probably learned his lesson - he transfer listed Vecino in Jan (but failed to sell), he's replaced Candreva with Hakimi, Godin is clearly out of favour, Gagliardini is being given a chance when we dont really have THAT much to play for to work out if he's a part of next season or not - and it seems like he probably isnt.

This season is about finding his feet, finding who he can rely on, who has good mental strength, and who doesnt. Expect a clear out. We are entitled to be pissed off if there is no clear out.

Unpopular question. :troll:
Who will you keep ? Candreva or Moses. Gagliardini or Vecino. Biraghi or Young .
Do we need replace Godin or Lautaro ?
If you can buy someone, who will you buy for 4th choice striker ?

We need chill this season, as long top 3 . I don't mind Conte still there. 2nd place more achievable now. I will be more than happy if we get 2nd place.
This team sure made by Marotta to achieve 2nd place and Scudetto next season. This team CAN'T PLAY GOOD EVERY 3 DAYS of course.

I understand this thought but I don't honestly like it. We need to expect better by now.

Our defence is in shambles. Our defensive team play is not working. We concede chances every match like there's no tomorrow. We leak goals almost every match (yeah, clean sheets against Genoa and Brescia). Spalletti first season 30 goals conceded. Second season 33 goals conceded. We're now conceded 31 goals already, 8 matches to go.

This season should have been a layup for the next one, we built the base now. But only thing it looks is that it's built on sand. That's what worries me. Can we fix this within next season when we absolutely NEED to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto right until the end? Because this season we have basically started scoring better but completely destroyed our defence. It's a new system, but there's been like zero progress. One can understand that bringing in new system won't be easy, it's hard at the start but should be better in the end. But we've gone only worse. Specially defensively.

Going to next season doesn't sound convincing if we've conceded like 40+ goals last season. That's like 10 too much.

Candreva, but only as a reserve.
Neither.
Young, Biraghi can get to fuck.
Godin either needs to play as the middle CB or he needs to leave, not cut out to be RCB/LCB.
Lautaro needs competition, not to be replaced. Cavani would be my choice.

All in all, I agree. This season was about setting the foundations and finding where the rot is. Hopefully, September will lead to a big clear-out.

Our RCB and LCB are not fucking true LCB and RCB...dude..
Skriniar and Godin are awful. I don't know how long they gonna survive in 3 man defense.
Bastoni still young, i trust him he will explode next season.
RWB is Candreva ? LWB is Biraghi ? . . .What we can expect from them...
Biraghi and Candreva are slower than 80% Serie A winger... Trust me they can't even stop Barrow.

I recognize why Inter paid 40 million for Hakimi, because he fast, at last can stop pacey winger.

We don't have Vidal, Pogba, Kante or Hazard. We should stay humble until Conte get at last 80% player he wants.

Dude, Conte makes 11m€ a net per season. He had a massive summer mercato, got Christian Eriksen in January. I'm simply expecting better than what we're seeing. No excuses.
