Rube's downfall is that they got CR7 way too late. Their squad isn't anywhere to where it was.
Imagine having Pirlo spraying passes to CR7 backed up by prime Vidal, Marchisio, Pogba, Chiellini, Barzagli, Buffon, Lichtsteiner + Tevez up top.
They have the most depth for sure. But none of the top 5-6 teams are English. Not even Liverpool. You can't be a Top 5 team with Salah as your best player. You need a Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar.
