Every time I have the urge to chime in to counter what brehme is saying or give my opinion, I see someone else respond first and begin the downward spiral that I have been down several times before. Thank you Johnny...you just saved me from probably 10 posts that would have been a complete waste of time.

I will bow out from this argument. There is zero chance of this going somewhere. Let me end by saying that you are most likely the only person in the internet who doesn't think that Mourinho is on a downward trajectory in comparison to other top managers. When this happens, one should consider a reality check.

He he he! I tried the same arguments a few month ago! The same result!
Actually I numbered maybe no more than 5-6 people here who were against Mou! Reheating the soup after 10 years it's not the way to go!
But Brehme was the only one who more or less claim: What was goo was because of Mou and when something went wrong there is always others fault.

I am happy that RuBentus are trying to hijack the Lukaku deal because its a clear Fvck You to Conte from them and i am sure that should motivate him a little more [not that there wasnt enough motivation but this should add to it].Plus he cant really crib too much that we failed when they came in it late with their player exchange.Yes i know there is a loophole in this perspective and we could have just paid the whole amount being demanded but i think he knows it too that there was time left and we "could potentially" have met United's demands and they came in and hijacked it.

I really hope we concentrate on the league completely and win it with Grinta and a miserly defence.Hoping he gets a striker that he really loves and who delivers.Feeling Positive.

Conte: 'Inter showed no fear'
By Football Italia staff

Antonio Conte saw the International Champions Cup victory on penalties against Tottenham Hotspur as “an important step, as Inter showed no fear.”

The Nerazzurri grabbed a 1-1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Stefano Sensi’s well-worked goal cancelling out the early Lucas Moura strike, going on to win a penalty shoot-out.

“I am happy because playing away to Spurs, where intensity and physical strength are their main weapons along with quality, we were still able to play our usual football and that is an important step,” Conte told Inter TV.

“This match is another sign that proves the desire of the team to improve and grow in terms of character. We attacked the opposition, we showed no fear and that was a good response.

“We are creating a good mentality within the group, these lads want to work and that is the most important thing. We are working well on a tactical level as well as a physical one.

“It’s only August, but we hope to continue along this path.”

Matteo Politano came off the bench, making his return after a muscular injury in pre-season training.

“Matteo has quality, he is a quick player, good at taking men on. He can do well and the others are a little further ahead in training, but he can give his contribution as a forward, because he has quality, pace and intensity.”

Inter will make their Serie A debut against newly-promoted Lecce on Monday August 26.

“It’s a special game for me, because I grew up in Lecce and at Lecce. It’ll be emotional, I am very happy that they are back in the top flight and I have great affection for the club, but obviously for 90 minutes we have to be opponents.”

Things are going well. Perhaps better than expected. But it's still preseason. We're already burdened with deadwood, lets not add to our misery.

The first half reminded me of Mazzarri ball.

We are showing progress.

Oh please. Without strikers we are playing close matches with teams like Spurs and PSG. Conte has been even more impressive than I hoped for. We look like a cohesive and purposeful unit already. Formerly poor players are imposing themselves.

Indeed, he’s bringing back dead players just like Mazzarri, resurrecting their careers.

Mazzarri would be proud of his work.

It’s difficult. I have reduced the frequency of bringing him up during the Spaletti era, but the striking resemblance of Conte and Mazzarri is really amusing.

Watching Conte’s team now is like watching Mazzarri reborned, given a second chance with a much stronger squad, without the forced Tiki taka bullshit he was forced to play after his first 1/2 of his first season.

Have to say I’m pretty excited for this season.

Lukaku would be like Mazzarri’s Cavani, just as Lautoro would be Mazzarri’s Lavezzi. I can’t wait for us to get Vidal to be our new Taider, and watch Lazaro as our new Jonathan.

Grande Mazzarri!!!!!!!!

I'm just thinking about the kind of shit they had Spalletti do for Inter Media House (Inter Bells, Inter Presents, etc.), there's no fucking way they'll get Andonio in front of the camera to do that kind of goofy bollocks

Will probably help maintain that air of fear/respect around him to be honest.

Do you know why they got Spalletti to do that kind of shit? Because he was a joke and it suited him. They also sensed that he was horribly depressed at how shit his team played football and all the cunts that were in the squad so they tried to lighten his mood. Spalletti is a shit coach. I remember Mourinho once taunted him about Roma watching Gladiator as a form of motivation before a Coppa Italia final which they lost. Mourinho noted how amateur that was and he was right. In one preseason, Inter have shown more determination, structure and urgency than they did with Spalletti over the last two years. It is ridiculous and the only thing that is more insulting is that we had to be subjected to that shit.

inter Media House would not get Conte to do that kind of thing because he is a serious professional who only focuses on and cares about football.

In relation to the latter, I wonder how he is feeling about Lukaku arriving at Inter.

Not for everyone indeed.
