Inter Midfielder Vecino Injures Thigh In Warm-Up For Uruguay

Matias Vecino got injured during the warm-up for Uruguay’s international friendly with Japan with the South American nation confirming that the Inter midfielder has sustained an injury to his thigh.

The severity of the injury was not disclosed but it was obviously severe enough wherein he was not able to participate in the game. With this injury, he could well be at risk of featuring for Inter in Sunday’s Milan derby.

Kwadwo Asamoah believes Inter are “on the right track” and can continue their winning streak against Milan and Barcelona.

Isn't 8:45pm CET the "game of the week" timeslot in Italy? Not trying to make an excuse, especially because Juve-Napoli wasn't in that timeslot a few weeks back. But I know both derbies last year were scheduled for the same time and day as this weekend's.

In that case, SPAL has been involved in the game of the week for the last two matchdays. Weeks where Juve-Napoli, Roma-Lazio and Lazio-Fiorentina were played. It's not like this game hasn't been played on a Saturday before. I even seem to remember playing Juve on a Friday night before the home CL tie against Barcelona in 2010.
