Mr. Yossi Benayoun.

People should take the rapid influx of news reports with a grain of salt. It's funny how Ausilio can go from being god to a pile of shit in mere minutes :howler:

If Modric doesn't come here, Ausilio should be fired immediately. No ifs or buts.

I think Modric is a long shot. Most likely we will go after Barella, which is not a bad signing but looks like shite because we were expecting Vidal & Modric.

Most likely scenario is Barella in, Vecino out, and Mario loaned.

The expectation got way too high after the seemingly high possibility of signing both Vidal and Modric. Now, we won't get either of them and unless we can bring in someone else with similar stature, our transfer window risk being rated much lower than it's actually worth. Honestly, even without those two, I would be content with Barella/Rafinha or better both.

Bargain. We can afford this, right Mino? :megusta:

‘Inter must pay €750m for Modric’
By Football Italia staff

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has warned Inter that ‘only €750m’ will be enough for Luka Modric.

Inter reportedly ended their pursuit of Arturo Vidal to concentrate on Modric, but Marca claims to have received denials from Madrid and his representatives over a possible transfer.

Furthermore, Perez told the newspaper: “The only way Modric can leave is if someone pays 750m.”

The 33-year-old last renewed his contract with Los Blancos in November 2016, taking him until 2020.

Despite his advancing years, the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder starred at the World Cup earlier in the summer, captaining his country to the Final.

I don't think both Vidal and Modric were realistic at any point starting from their big salaries. But from Vidal to Barella etc. is just horrible and I refuse to believe it will go like that. We need experience and quality in one package to our midfield. Barella is quality, some day, but not experience.

Vidal was only demanding 4.5 mill. That's less than Icardi, and it was a loan, so we didn't have to pay the cost of his transfer fee (which was peanuts in this day and age) upfront.

Ausilio better sign this Mr x otherwise after Vidal's fiasco nothing will satisfy inter fans and if he doesn't we will be laughing stock for missing on both players.

Hmm, Verratti would be nice but costs a fortune. Also wrong thread.

Vidal was not a good deal. We probably wait for 2 mln for Veratti on loan, with OPTION to buy for 25 next summer. Yeah... that's fair!
