Yea, good that we won but it was far from convincing. Inter's attacking play was pretty poor. Only thing that has changed from last year is that with Valero and Vecino we can play faster and more direct which helps a lot.

What Inter lacks the most is ACM who scores out side the box or plays that pass for Icardi to score. Joao Mario is not that player. He is actually very far from it. He said that he has better attacking skills than defence skills but he hasn't shown't any of that. Brozo is the only one who has the ability to play as ACM but he is too unstable to be counted for the whole season.

As things stand Inter will attack through the flanks like last season and it can be too predictable if Inter cannot find the way to attack trough the middle every now and then.

I think Mourinho once said, after a game vs Genoa or something, maybe it was after he left Italy.. Anyway. He said about the opponent something like they wouldn't concede even if the game was extended for a few more hours. That's pretty much the direction today's game had. And we were lucky to end up with three points. That PK gave us three points as I don't think we'd find that much space in the last 10-15 minutes without a scoring lead. They were superb tactically.

Can't remember the last time this team didn't put me right back to sleep after waking up early. Great stuff!


In any of the past 3 or 4 years we would have drawn this game. This was a really hard game against a deceptively decent SPAL team. It's always hard for the favorites coming out of International break, especially against a team with nothing to lose.

Skriniar is a massive improvement over Murllio and him and Miranda work well together.
D'Ambrosio is annoying and I can't wait for Cancelo to return.
Perisic's professionalism continues to stand out. He's a great player when he's on form. Our team is noticeably better when he's playing better.

Candreva's so predictable and wasteful. Why does he spend so much time on the wings when he's so much better centrally? All the best wingers cut inside the box time after time to at least make their games dynamic, Candreva camps at the byline to the point that even SPAL can make him ineffective. He can't beat any winger for pace, his stupid tricks barely ever work and his crosses rarely ever connect. I really hope that Spaletti gives Karamoh a proper chance.

It's very early in the season and Spal already showed against Lazio why they're considered a well-organized team with a competent coach since Lega Pro.

Add the 57k enthusiasm turning into slight pressure during the second half and that "Carpi and Lasagna" unconscious vibe: massive win, great atmosphere.

I think the best thing of this Inter is that we finaly can play 90 minute or at last more then just 45 or 50 minutes. (against Fiorentina we played 45 minutes and then we woke up at the 70.Minute till the end, against Roma it was similiar situation)

We controlled the game consindering that Spal really played a decent match. Spal for sure will not return in Serie B if they keep playing this way. Chievo yesterday against Juventus was terrible. Or Verona against Fiorentina. Or Crotone. There are much worser teams, i think they can finish even midtable with this mentality. Its not always easy to beat this teams!

Ok...we didn't play well...we were kinda flat, no energy, didn't create much, not very sharp in passing....BUT, I fuxking don't care, because this is the types of games we were loosing left and right last year, therefore i sure am happy with the three points.

i've always had a thing for the players who don't lose it when it gets tense. those are the players who usually win you the matches. and icardi has that fundamental quality. skriniar too, by the way.

spalletti is doing an awesome job, no doubt about it. but today, imho we weren't that good.
