Could you elaborate on why you think Alvarez is an overachiever? It's not like he's playing with one leg. Just curious on your reasoning, and why is Guarin underachieving? Hope it's not because of his sick 5 min Youtube videos while in Porto.

His overuse of the left leg is kinda too obvious. I am baffled that a player like him became our main player at certain point. His decision making is too slow to be an AM, there was a lot from him to be desired when he played on the wing and he had to play as a CM because our midfield was retarded (and we played 352). Never really liked him, some of his runs/dribbles brought us goals, but he wasn't a player to rely on.

Now with Guarin it's different. Guarin has everything to be a great player (excluding brains)....but for the most part, he isn't.

If you saw him play for Velez he was very good there, much better than Lamela production wise. I preferred Lamela because he was younger and I thought he had more natural ability but it wasn't farfetched to think Alvarez was better.

Sometimes shit happens. Edu Vargas was magnificent for U de Chile and the National team but has failed to stick at any club yet.

Latin America does not exclude Brazil cause their language is derided from Latin as well. Hispanic America (literally Spanish speaking America) does.
