So stupid..........unless they poach someone legit, I think it's a silly move by the Warriors.

You would expect Lacob to do that. Jackson will only take them to a second or third round at the most. I believe Lacob feels he can find the man to bring them over that hump. There's some ego troubles inbetween, I know Jackson didn't have the greatest relationship with the front office.

Eh I still think he deserved more than what they gave him. He should've had another year to try and get them to the 2nd or 3rd round.

Again, it's hard to judge them cuz they've done a good job making the warriors relevant again. (Edit: referring to management)

He made them a defensive team... expected them to do everyone alone on isolation for offense. If he had an assistant who can do X's and O's for dialing up plays, they'd be in great shape... because he really sucked at that. I do believe it's more of a personal/relationship issue than anything else. Egos were clashing for sure

Impressive by the Warriors. Pilfering Kerr from Jackson and the Knicks :notbad:

Now whether or not Kerr will actually be successful is another story, but setting out and getting what they want is a good start.

Heatles! 8 down 8 more to go.

LeBron's Heat has simply owned KG and Pierce at the end of their careers. I actually had pangs of sympathy for them tonight. :yao2:

I don't get the hype on Kerr as a coach. I know he has executive work, but the hype about him as a top candidate seems dumb when he hasn't coached a game.

So I agree with this. I never understood why he was so coveted to be a coach, but he was, and the Warriors were able to get their man, which is a good step for them. Even though they promised him a crapton of money.

It'll definitely be a curious storyline to follow next season. He has all the tools to succeed in that team, it'll be a true test of his coaching ability if he can lead them to a deep playoff run (if they even make the playoffs next year).

The media has overhyped him. I'm not saying he won't be a great coach, but they can't give reports about him being great when he has proven so little. As said earlier in this thread, I hope the Warriors fall to the ground and that ownership is completely greedy. It has nothing to do with me being a Lakers fan.

Shows how valuable a 'respected personality' can be in the Association. I certainly think Kerr will be a better coach than Kidd, for example, but I guess that's setting the bar fairly low. He played the game and understands it enough to competently administrate and commentate. His GM experience was nothing special but by no means no means a complete failure. He tried announcing and was solid. I think he's just succeeded enough at everything he's done to continue to get chances. Knicks and GS were prob not the first two coaching offers he's received in his life, just the right time to throw his hat in the ring. He and his agent were savvy enough to start a bidding war.

Welp, guess it's time for the Pacers to lose to the Heat!

Hey NBA fans!

Cavs won lottery again!! How lucky they are. I mean, 3 first picks in 4 years. But this year there is no chance to make Bennett error again. Draft is loaded with potential.

Btw. I'm big Raptors fan. I know it sounds crazy but its true...:D

The only team in Toronto that matters is the one run by Dave Nonis. Who cares for the Raptors?
