This guys has been one of the most underrated forwards in the world, and is one of our most valued legends. With that gesture of calling back everyone and telling them to at least "give our shirts to our fans" he warmed somehow many hearts at the stadium. He's the Prince and when he retires he'll be King.

forever king but i guess its time for icardi to shine. I hope he will stay with us once he retires, perhaps as a technical director's assistant or maybe even take over as our head coach for forwards.

I remember Genoa's Ultras forcing their players to hand over the jersey, only Sculli stood against them to the point of confrontation. Their Captain Marco Rossi yielded and handed over his but not Sculli, the mafioso's grandson. :datass:

It's a nice gesture by Milito but still... the focus should be on the match from the start.

Yeah the only time he should be getting playing time is if the game is out of sight like 3-0 in 60 mins and then he should get to play. Other than that, Icardi should be playing to develop his game

I don't know if it's true, but here in Argentina rumors say that Milito's contract ends in June. So when it ends, he would come to play for Racing Club, but if he plays like this I don't know if he will be in the starting line-up, even at Racing :yao:

This was the Milito of 2011 where he struggled mentally more than anything. If you take alook at his game he was running well enough and getting in the right position. He should have easily buried the first, the second was harder than it looked but maybe the less pressured Milito would have controlled it better than rush into it. I don't believe his movement was bad st the end product which was clouded by the pressure of coming back ASAP and be on the scoring sheet. Had he scored one,the flood gates will open. I am sure of it.

That being said I don't think we should extend his contract of course.

But we need Milito to tutor our younger strikers. Palacio could use his finishing lessons. :eek:blivious:

You cant blame him for accepting a big contract, who wouldnt...You could blame our management who couldnt capitalize on him and worse gave him a contract this big without forseeing this at all even though it happened to them again, and again and again.

Not really... he's physically just completely past it after the injury. The opponent was shit, lot of room, lot of space, that's the only reason you might say that he seemed to run and get into positions. Agaisnt better teams, he doesn't even seem to be on the pitch. Honestly, if Icardi had started instead of him, I'm more than certain he would've gotten more goalscoring chances.

I've always said that Milito doesn't deserve any of the abuse which some moronic Inter fans have given him in past few years, but it's completely fair to say that his impact right now is inexistant if not negative and it's difficult to see it change. Quite sad, but it's the truth. He should go to his home or maybe some provincial club of Serie A where the nature of an average game is different.

Shame, such a great player, but his time is over. I hope Mazzarri also see this.

Looked a bit better today in comparison with the Sassuolo game but still, in typical Milito style, he needs a lot of playing time invested to regain some of his yesteryear's form and we might as well play someone else.
