I didn't saw any topic relating to this topic so i've started one.

About a month ago i've started to train/coach an youth team nearby, in Holland we call it U19. I thought it would be fun to check if there are any members doing the same and maybe discuss practice forms, tactics etc. Maybe some tips about books or social media platforms which helped.

Browha could help you alot with that.

Serious question though, how did you get a license and consequently be qualified for a youth coach over there? Did you study in some academy or were you an ex-player? Cause over here to be able to coach you need to be registered as an ex-player for an A or B team. And I've never played officially for clubs here cause I was a Volleyball player as a kid (win a couple of silverwares as well).

So you can't be a coach unless you played (professionally, I assume)?

Woah, even Sarri wouldn't be qualified to coach in Egypt.

Yes.

You need to see our laws regarding investment and development, social affairs, trade and taxes if you need a good laugh.

Since this summer I've returned to an old club (amateur) to play football again and I wanted to coach an team. I didn't get my license yet but i will this year, paid by the club. On paper i'm assistent to an old guy of 71 years old who spent his life at the club and have alot of experience so i can learn. On tuesday i do the training by myself on thursday we do it together, on matchday we are both ''coaches''. In Holland you don't need an license to train a team only when you want to go higher, there are clubs who only wants trainers with license. But in Holland the amateur clubs needs alot of volunteers so its an easy way to get started, learn alot, get my license and maybe within a few years aim higher but for now i'm good. Dick Advocaat started his trainerscarreer at this club so not a bad club to start.
