I think in the games against smaller teams where opposition's area is overcrowded we need different approach because is obvious that with two wingers (Candreva and Perisic) and countless crosses it won't work. I'm wonder if it work 4-3-1-2 system here. Probable formation is:
Handana --- Ansaldi - M - M - Santon ---New DM - Brozovic - Mario --- Banega --- Jovetic - Icardi. Brozovic and Mario are good box-to-box and they have decent crossing, so the can move to the flanks if it's need. Santon and Ansaldi are also good offensively and can support attack properly. Banega in free role roaming between midfielders and strikers. Jojo gravitating close to Icardi involving the latter in the game.
i hope Pioli to change something because with the trident Perisic - Icardi - Candreva will be certain struggle.

They dont fit that formation....that is why i think mancini really had somthing going with midfield of guarin-cambiasso-brozo and shaqiri trequartista..that was some of the best football i have seen inter play. Imagine that midfield behind icardi and gabigol with maicon and zanetti fullbacks

Dont know what midfield your talking about! Mancini never had cambi in his second stint at inter also cuchu and shaq never played together at Inter.

I really don't want to sell Banega. Someone is going to get injured eventually, so he provides depth, along with versatility in the event we want to switch tactics. Would rather keep Jovetic than Eder, but let's be real, that's not happening.

Also, unrelated, but I believe that's 4 AT players in our starting eleven (Darmian, Gagliardini, Candreva, Icardi)

For me the success of this window depends more on how many players we can get rid of.... In an ideal world, we need to move:
- Santon
- Melo
- Palacio
- Jovetic/Eder/Gabigol (loan)
- Nagatomo
- Ranocchia/Andreolli
- Biabiany
- Gnoukouri (loan)

Thats 8 players, a BIG ask for January. But with no EL, we don't need such a big squad. Plus we need to make space for the 2-3 players we plan to get in. This will not just make the squad size easier to manage for Pioli, but free up the wage bill ahead of what promises to be a big summer spending.
