Yes i heard about this game with names lombardia, north london, merseyside blue, etc.. Thats crap man.. haha.. We get the games with the real stuff.

Now now, the original games WE/PES games have that kind of names. It's because the name of the clubs are trademarked or something so they can't use it. But Lazio, Roma, Parma and a few other clubs were correctly named with the exact flag, logo and jersey.

If you always get the 'real' names, that means you always get the 'edited' or 'fake' games.

I don't know about WE7: IE though. :embarass:

Yes Han we get the fake ones. We modify our playstation consoles so we can play fake ones, etc.. Dont tell me you buy the original games..? Haha. no one is buying them anymore man. I know people in Canada, Australia, England, etc.. they come here and modify their consoles and buy like 100 games from here so that they dont get to buy any from the countries they live in. The price for the game here is between 40-60 Egyptian pounds and thats like 7 US dollars

Yep, the Inter squad is licensed team now, so no more Lombardia crap. Spain, Italy and Holland all have their leagues fully licensed; as for the transfers they aren’t really up to date. It seems they updated everything up to the end of 2003/2004 season, so expect to see the teams (Including Inter) in last year’s jersey and squad. While updating the jerseys is near impossible (Well, not without a patch and all that illegal but groovy stuff) the squad can be updated quite easily (Just like in WE7: IE and PES3 but without the need to purchase that option thingy in the WE shop) So yes, I did update my Inter squad, and it took less than two minutes. According to recent rumors PES4 will include all the latest transfers, jerseys, logos etc when it's released in Europe.

How is Inter rated in this game? Pretty good, when you consider the overall attributes (Speed, teamwork, defense, attack etc) AC Merda > Inter > Roma > Juve (Please note, these are the findings after I updated the teams) Is the game better than WE7? Hell YEAH!!!

What MoH loves in WE8:-

1. More than 200 club and national teams
2. Fully licensed leagues from Holland, Spain and Italy
3. At free-kick situations, by pressing SELECT a dummy taker can fool the wall and Goalkeeper before you fire that beauty on goal.
4. Back then, doing all sorts of feints with Zidane would requite the same effort when done with say...Materazzi, but now it’s somewhat easy to dribble with Recoba but it’s damn impossible trying to do the same with Matrix. Lets just say, you realize the difference during game play when playing with players like Cannavaro and Zebina.
5. You can do feints, where you fool the opponent into thinking you are going right, but then rapidly change direction to the left.
6. Referees can be seen on the pitch during game play.
7. A lot of new animations, my favorite is when a player thinks he has been fouled and raises his arms in disgust. Or when an opponent commits a horrendous tackle and the players surround him and the referee in protest.
8. Tackling has improved; no longer is it such a crime to gamble once or twice.
9. Players do look/run/shoot/complain like their real life counter parts, especially Recoba, J. Zanetti, Cannavaro, Emre and Van der Meyde.
10. The crowd noise is a amazing, especially during Penalty kicks and other dangerous situation.
11. Players can end up with muddy clothes depending on the pitch situation.
12. Passing has improved a lot, while in previous games passing felt like a game of pinball but now it’s the real deal.
13. You could play the game in first-person perspective…******* Cool! :drool: (You have to buy that option in WE shop)
14. This game makes WE7 look crap

What MoH doesn’t like about WE8:

1. Martins, with pace and acceleration of 99 (Officially the fastest player in WE8) can still be caught by slow defenders. Apparently, you have to press (Not hold, as it was for the last few years) the R1 (Dash button) in frenzy if you are to out run defenders, not cool not cool at all, a Saudi defender with a pace and acceleration ability of 61 out ran Martins quite comfortably (I was playing as Nigeria) what I should have said is, speed counts for nothing now (Hence players like Martins, Henry and Owen are somewhat useless)
2. Throw-ins have changed, no longer is a player waiting beside the taker, now you have to wait a while for players to come by...Tiresome, but very, very effective.
3. Some slowdown issues during corners, I don’t really find it annoying but most users do.
4. Opposition defenders can still block your shots unintentionally, he would be running by and then ball smacks him on the stomach, head, thigh etc it happens on every ******* match!!! Yet it happens so rarely in Football (Unintentionally)

MR B: tampines central has 2 shops selling it. its across pavilion n the road. 1 shop has the original at $85, but its pirated version is arriving at 5/8. the other has the pirated version only.

city plaza has 1 shop selling too. but, it is only arriving at 8/5. i m not sure whether its original or pirated. the shop is called super mario brothers n is behind 2nd chance.

marine parade has a few shops. they might be raided the last time i heard from the news. 1 is near a coffeeshop n opposite the neighbourhood police post. the other is a push cart near mcdonalds.

1) You could still run without tapping, but if you want to out pace your opponents you'll have to tap it continuously.

2) Yep, but it only happened to me once so far (20+ hours of play time) :thumbsup:

i had downloaded winning 11 8 from someone. japanese version offcourse. i seem to not like it for now because its all japanese and i think this is a beta version because it can slow down alot when ur in attack at times or it cant, im sure this will be fixed. and when you choose teams to play u gotta guess like manchester united is mcresta U LOL SO FUNNY! i also think the passing is better but very hard. through passes are too real, aufully real. shooting is not as easy anymore..shots can be blocked all the time and goalies save everything!!! lol speeed wise, its realistic but seeing martins slow is not really fun when u know he is too fast. referee doesnt seem to last out penalties such as the old one (final version 7 modified). injuries are very easy to occur but u can remove the option. u can choose the ball u can play with (reotero and even the athens olympic ball which i think is very nice!). player update is not that frequent davids,veron,ze maria,miha are still not in the game (but thats ok cause inter is strong anyways). i find matrix to be a very good defender both in italy and inter because of height. referee being there creates a huge distraction for me sometims gets in the way.the best feature i like in this game is when a player scores and he goes to celebrate and all of a sudden : THE LINE'S MAN WAVES THW GOAL OFFISDE! THIS IMO is the best feautire in this game. and also i was caught diving a few times!!!!!! haha...but no yellow card... formations seem to be very strange!! but then again..people who have been playing this for years now (like myself) tend to have their own formation , i have 2 depending on which team i play with..usually with inter i play a 3-4-3 with 2 defensive midfielders and 2 wingers and recoba is centred behind the 2 strikers and i play martins are a left winger (trust me on that, very fast). or i play my other 4-3-3 which is also a good balanced formation. but anyways the game is great and after playing 6 for so long i said 7 was bad but i got used to it and luved it and now im sayin 8 is bad but then again, its all about playing the game for about a week and then u'll end up lovin it.

my master leauge team is absolutely phenomenal and ive beaten all teams with it.

i play a 3-4-3 defense i have campbell,nesta,stam midfield i play viera,geremi,nedved,recoba and in attack i have: van nistelrooy,totti and adriano .

beautiful team and i win alot with it. soemtimes i have adriano for delpiero , even though its good on WE but in real life i dont like to do it!

my only problem with this game is i play the players i like even though sometimes its not of the best interst for the team (Game wise) haha..but then again its a game. on the whole, i think this game is good but on gaming wise its too real. the game has become tooo realistic that ud rather playe real football! haha

Thanks for this info IKAZ, the fact that the players start to celebrate and then get flagged offside really adds to the realism of the game, which is reaching scaring proportions! Two more months to go...

my friend who spends a good while on news groups and game forums got it for us. its only a play station 2 version and its fully japanese. ill ask him to find you a computer version and let you know. right now he's away for a couple of days but he should be back by wednesday max! so ill ask him and ill let you know.

I'm pretty suprised that alot of people dont have this yet...i had it when it was released on day 1 although i admit i dont play it because i still play WE7 INT because we8 is still in jap...

Forget the name lombardia or lisencing because there are patches that change the kits, names and edits everything for you.

I have a patch for we8 but it doesnt convert the master league text so ill just wait...i have most the players in english now...

I have created Ventola although Burdisso was difficult. I have completed the roster... e.g. i got rid of Lamouchi, Adani etc... and i have put in Zicu and the rest of the players that have joined us.

I even have Eliakwu in the game lol but i rarely use him since his not really a 1st team player yet!

Winning Eleven's only fault (liscencing) gets fixed with all with all the patches available.

I am considering running a Forza-inter Virtual Tournament. I wont use club teams because then everyone will want to be inter

what happens in this virtual tourny is i will post a number of teams maybe 16-32 and then people will reply to the message saying who they want to be e.g. Pravesh will say im italy, Marco will say im England...anyway then i will randomly put the teams in a tournament and post who faces who in eliminations...As the manager of the team you chose, you have to tell me which formation you want etc... and the computer will do the rest.

At the end of each match done i will come back to the forum and give a extensive report on the match including, line ups, scorers (time), yellow cards, etc...

Sorry i have no prize for the winning manager and his team lol but its some good fun, i will post the results... but if i dont have support then dont worry about it.
