Fifa and Italy robbed them in the last WC with a BS pk....why is everyone crapping on them?

Mate it is no use arguing with some of these people. In that tournament;

• The first game our keeper was fouled and Japan got a goal from it, after the game the Egyptian ref told Viduka, I made a mistake on their goal but god was on your side and he made sure that you guys ended up winning.
• Against Croatia one of their players was given TWO yellow cards in the game and the moron English referee never sent him off. The guy almost scored the winner for Croatia in injury time. Imagine that. Fifa and the referee later apologised for the error.
• Against Italy, we were robbed by a smart dive by Grosso.

(18-9-10) - They are very inconsistent, at times they look great, but then they look awful in some matches. My opinion is that this team is much weaker than the side that competed in the 2006 WC...

I don't want to have to defend Australia in this thread but a few of the more recent matches you mentioned (Kuwait and Indonesia come to mind) were played with completely local-based players since they were Asian Cup fixtures and therefore non-Fifa dates and the Euro clubs wouldn't release the overseas players. Also, the conditions players in Asia didn't help them (going from the cold of Europe to the heat of some Asian nations) and some people tend to underrate some of the Asian players going around because they don't get to see them.

Having said that though, Australia aren't the team we were in '06 and I agree will probably go out of the WC in the group stage this time round.

Back to the point though, Sneijder has as much chance of getting injured this weekend as in a normal match for Inter. He got injured against Japan ffs, who are a lot less physical team than Australia.

He was slow to get started but he played really well against Australia, I would say Holland's best player. His set piece's were always spot on, he initiated a lot of Holland's attacks and looked dangerous throughout the match.

Actually, i have YET to believe he cost LESS than MUNTARI, damn! He is worth 4 times Muntari, he is just perfect!

FACTS: Sneijder has played 7 matches for us so far (6 wins, 1 draw against Barca), and has not played 3 this season(2 draws, 1 lose). This difference is great for the player but sucks for the team.

Fantastic game from him,hope he gets more comfortable with our strikers so we get more of the same.He puts our players in that position to score so well,and you can count on him taking a good shot if things open up.Just what we needed all that time.He just needs to stay healthy and feel at home with Inter.
