I am not kidding.
While Zenga was present, all Red Star players named Milan (very coman Serbian name) had to be called Inter or by their last name.
Name Milan could not be mentuned in his presence.
It was in the papers in Serbia.
Averyone knowes that.

Zenga is a chicken shit wanker, thats why he is coaching in Romania. If he had any balls he would try his luck in the Serie B. But both he and the club Presidents of Serie B know that Zenga is a clueless fark.

Training the Romanian champions it's way better than coaching an anonymous squad from Serie B. Is he having the chance to go in Ch. League with Dianamo? Yes. What he could achieve in Serie B? Promotion? By the way his first match at Dinamo won it 5-2, so I think he's a great coach!

1. Your point about possibly being there to qualify for the Champions League does not count for shit. The question you have to ask yourself, is whether you really think Dinamo are capable of qualifying for the Champions League. In short, I believe the answer to this question is no.

2. If Zenga wants to be taken seriously, the only way he is going to earn the respect of his peers is if he coaches in Italy. At present, he has very little credibility as a coach. And in my opinion, taking a team such as Chievo back into Serie A would be given more credibility in Italy than winning the championship with Dinamo.

But in all honesty, I do not expect anything from Zenga as a coach because he is a dud.

3. Winning a single match 5-2 does not make a good coach.

The first match that is... Anyway time will pass and you'll see ;) I have faith in his coaching ability because I've seen him "in action".

clueless fark .........yeah that's why he kicked Valencia's ass in UEFA with Steaua 3 years ago , that's why he kicked Roma's Ass with Red Star Belgrade 2 years ago, Milan's ass with National Bucharest in friendly etc. ..........he will one day shine as Inter coach ;)

I totally do not understand George's beef with an Inter legend. Can you please give a rational explanation to that? Because I know you are not the type who would take such a strong stance without any reason behind it.

Zenga is an Inter goalkeeping legend.

In terms of coaching, he is is still in the very early stages of his career and yet everyone is touting him for a place on Inter's bench. I think many Interisti fail to differentiate and make the distinction between what he did for us as a player and what he can do as a coach. Quite frankly, the two are poles apart and it pisses me off that everyone believes he is Inter material. Based on what?

Lets put a few things in perspective. The likes of Trapattoni and Capello are great coaches as they left Italy and won championships in Germany and Spain. Zenga has achieved sweet fukc all and the same can be said for Matthaus in his coaching career and yet there are posters who romanticise about our former legends coming back to coach their beloved Nerazzurri.

The simple fact of the matter is that Zenga does not coach in Italy because he can not stand the pressure in terms of media attention and scrutiny. Coaching overseas, he still gets treated like a celebrity but is well aware of the fact that as soon as he goes home, football will get a great deal more serious.

Lastly, if you disagree with everything I have said, you may want to consider the following: When Zlatan first arrived at Inter last season, he was a former Hunchback. Interisti are the most loving supporters because they accepted Zlatan with open arms and loved him as if had been at the club for his whole career.

How is this relevant?

The analogy is similar. Many of you feel the same way about Zenga as a coach but the fact of the matter is that he has done very little, in terms of coaching, to deserve such love and respect.

What I am essentially trying to say is that you should have some discretion. Let Walter earn our love and respect the way Zlatan deservedly did in his first season at Inter.

Zenga may have been a Legend goalkeeper for Inter but I stand by my comments that he is staying away from coaching in Italy because he does not want things to get too serious, too quickly. Only time will tell but I believe it will be some time before Zenga decides to make the move to coach in Italy and only then will you be able to seriously guage his coaching abilities.

As a final note, I would not want Zenga, Matthaus or Bergomi (if he ever decides to coach) to coach Inter in the future. Why? Because if things do not go well, the memories will be tainted. Think of Roma, Voeller and Conti and you will realise that appointing legends as coaches inevitably destroys the fantasy and many a fond memory.

So George, the bottom line is you do not hate Zenga but instead, the senseless desire by some of our members for him to be our future coach? I'm pretty sure that some of us were saying that we would want to see him at the helm eventually, but not now.

I think you're being too harsh on him too. I am also on the boat that it's better to coach a Serbian or Romanian champion than getting a Serie B club a promotion. It may not bring you as much glamor in Italy but that does not mean that he's scared to go back to Italy or what. It could be that Zenga is trying to gain experience or he just enjoy the foreign countries more.

Give him a few more years. He's still a young coach and it doesn't matter where he gains his experience at. If he doesn't come back to Italy in the near years, then yes, your argument would be vindicated. But for now, to be calling him a ball-less fark, that's just way too harsh.

Zenga just became Catania's new coach, after they fired Baldini. Zenga after leading Red Star to the Serbian title in 2005, has had numerous poor attempts on the bench, getting sacked by some Turkish club, then some Arabic club Al ain, and then Dinomo Bucharest. Wish him best of luck with Catania, and hope he can save them from relegation.
