Poor 1st half, decent 2nd half from the Azzurri. Insigne was brilliant, specially that volley to equalise, just wow. Great assist for the winner too. Some good character shown by this young side, games like these will help improve the team far more than the easy wins.

Its been a lot of fun so far to see a good side being developed from scratch since last year and the growth they have shown with these kids. But these guys have to improve to another level by the time the Euro starts next summer.

Nice. However this "record" means little coz its an easy group. What is more impressive is that Mancini has built a new team with a lot of young players, built a new identity and are playing positive, attacking football. They may not be ready to make a significant impact on the Euro next year, but this is good for the future. A new cycle has truly begun.

Italy have a 100 per cent record after five Euro qualifiers for the first time in their history, but it’s nine wins on the trot going back to Euro 2016 too.

This evening’s 3-1 victory away to Armenia maintains the perfect start to Euro 2020 Group J, with the Nazionale scoring 16 goals and conceding only two.

More importantly, Roberto Mancini becomes the first Italy Coach to win five consecutive European Championship qualifiers in the same group.

Azeglio Vicini in 1986-87 and Antonio Conte in 2014 had managed four.

In fact, including Conte’s run-up to Euro 2016 too, the Azzurri have won their last nine European Championship qualifiers.

The 3-1 result in Armenia means Italy are unbeaten in their Euro qualifiers away from home since a 3-1 in France in September 2006, followed by 29 victories and six draws.

Just read in Croatian news that Modric and Rakitic aren’t most expensive Croatian players any more.

Biggest value has Brozovic (50 millions) and only player more expensive from him on today’s game is Skriniar (60 millions).
