Feels like Simone Inzaghi is our lucky charm in Champions League :D

Would be nice if we get an easy draw this time, which would eventually mean that we have a higher chance of going through than facing a team like Manchester City or Real Madrid for example. Our players need that experience of playing in knockout phase.

I have a feeling that we will face one of Club Brugge or Porto, depending on which team wins the Group B.

Yes. Blew for full time but VAR intervened and the handball was called (it was the correct call). Hradecky saved the pen and after that the game should have ended. But Atletico was allowed to try two times after the saved penalty but didn't manage to score.

I would have loved to see them score from there and then refs to handle the situation. Because according to the rules, the game should have ended after the penalty was shot.
Didn't watch it obviously but extra time is possibly due to the time the penalty foul was supposed to be called.

I hope we will get Chelsea just for the fun of it. The storytelling, hype, and build-up will be amazing because of fucking Lukaku.

We have 0% chance of winning the competition anyway.

Chelsea is the best fit for us as well.

It's not ideal to get a team that's out of form now because theyll get there eventually. Teams like City or PSG need to be avoided for reasons we all know. Real Madrid is obviously the team to avoid but they're getting older.

We're lucky that Bayern ain't it for us.

Let's hope Napoli doesn't choke out of first place, but as usual Liverpool or Chelsea will get the Club Brugge or Porto group winner...

If Tottenham tops their group, it may be a good matchup. If Marseille tops it (beating Spurs and the other game is a draw), I wouldn't wanna face them but it beats facing the other three.

Let's see if Juventus does us a favor and we end up with Benfica as an option instead. But I wouldn't bet on Benfica winning in Israel.

It's also a very long way till then.
World Cup, important stuff going on at Inter with a potential takeover, big transfer window where we might lose a couple of starters and perhaps alienate Skriniar even further with lack of progress or him moving elsewhere.

But whatever happens, I'm hoping it's Chelsea.

We aren't going to win it but the further we go the better it will be for us for many reasons (finances, coefficients, squad experience and mentality). So i will always root for the easiest possible draw.

At this point finances and coefficients mean more so I agree. Squad experience and mentality might get better when playing against top teams, but those are secondary benefits at this point of the club evolution IMO.

Ajax has shown that their way of playing is top tier, they just lacked the quality up front. They attacked the whole game, Liverpool had to work to keep a clean sheet, but then Liverpool have like 4, 5 real shots and score 3 goals.

Poor Ajax, didn't deserve the result.

Best to worst possible:

1-Tottenham (or any other team on that group, all can be 1#)
2-Brugge* (same group)
3-Chelsea
4-Oporto* (same group)
5-PSG
6-City
7-Madrid

Obviously i think PSG will draw or win and will be 1#

Whatever you do, DO NOT PLAY THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS IN THE LAST MATCH OF THE GROUP

-Barella
-Lautaro
-Brozović

The hotheads should not be featured, so that last season doesn't repeat. If Skriniar gets a yellow, maybe get him on the bench just in case.

Are yellow cards transfered to playoffs? If they are then Lautaro and Bastoni should have went on and got yellow to clean them and skip Bayern.

Btw. draw is on November 7th @ 12:00 CET.

The problem for Ajax is that they need to rebuild their team every season. And this season they bought the wrong guys and the leading players like Blind and Tadic are getting older and older. They just hadn't the quality this year to challenge Liverpool (with a lot of injured players) and Napoli (in the form of their life). Shit happens but I'm glad because this way Inter and Ajax can't draw eachother.
