I agree I think Pioli likes the balance Joao Mario brings in that position. It's very Italian of him.

You also have to remember he preferred at 4-3-3 at Lazio with 2 CM's instead of playing with a pure AM like Banega.

Regarding Udinese, this is a must win game...Whole month of January is extremely important, this is the last chance to make the run for the CL spot...We play Juventus away on Februarty 5th, but until then we play Udinese, Chievo, Palermo and Pescara...this is our chance to close the gap between the top 3 and us...Only 10+ points from this 4 games will be ok, anything less than that will not be enough to get closer to Roma and Napoli...
