Ederson in Inter link Monday 3 May, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reports from Brazil suggest that Inter have secured themselves the services of Ederson Honorato Campos.

The 18-year-old midfielder is highly rated in South America and an Italian switch now beckons.

Inter are understood to have pipped Chelsea in the chase to sign the Porto Alegre sensation.

The Serie A outfit made their move after talking to former Fiorentina and Brazil midfielder Carlos Dunga.

The Brazilian media suggest that Inter will pay around £3.5m for the South American youngster.

Ederson is considered as one of the stars of the future, with many suggesting he could become the new Emerson.

The player caught the eye of many top scouts during the Under-17 World Cup Finals last year.

If the club captures another talent then it can only be a plus. Facchetti will probably buy him (if not already) and loan him out and if he turns out to be a star then bring him to the club :star:

Italian duo eye Kroldrup
Monday, 03 May 2004

by Kent Hedlundh
Serie A giants Juventus and Internazionale are reportedly eyeing a move for Udinese's Denmark international defender Per Kroldrup.
The 24-year-old, who recently came on in Denmark's 1-0 victory over Scotland for Martin Jorgensen after 65 minutes, is keen on joining a bigger club.

"I have also heard there is interest from Inter, but I have not been contacted personally," said Kroldrup to Ritzau.

"It is of course flattering and interesting. It is also the philosophy of Udinese to bring young, unknown players and sell them when they are established."
==========================================

If he is a good defender then maybe it would be a good thing to sign him. He's played in the Serie A, he has seemingly performed well, and other big clubs want him. Though does anyone know anything else on him? Is he tall? Strong? Fast? Good tackler?

£3.5 million for an unproven 18-year old with no experience in Europe? Could only be Inter who makes such a deal.

Remember Kaka? :D

Sure he is few years older, but he had no experience in Europe and now look at him. I doubt Milan would have won Scudetto without him.

But Kaka was a part of the Brazilian National Team and already a proven class-player. ;)

I might be wrong about this Edison, since I´ve never seen him. He might be very proven in Brazil and on the verge for the NT for all I know. Then I take back what I said.

But even I who has no access to the Brazilian league knew who Kaka was.

Why are we even discussing about this dude??? I'm sure you know it's one of the media's bull$hit. :D A rumour with no solid foundation at all. You can replace Inter's name there with any club's name and it'll still be a rumour, get what I'm saying??? :D

Lucio will leave Bayer Monday 3 May, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Serie A clubs interested in Bayer Leverkusen stopper Lucio have been told he is available for transfer.

The Brazilian international has been linked with numerous Italian sides and a move beckons.

"Any of our players are available at the right price," said Bayer general manager Reiner Calmund.

"From what I hear, there are around 10 clubs that are interested in Lucio but only five have a real chance.

"That is the real number of clubs that have the economical power needed to sign a player of his standard. We may sell Lucio but only at a certain price."

The 25-year-old is one of the most highly rated defenders in European football right now after some excellent seasons in Germany.

He was close to joining Roma last summer for £10m but the transfer collapsed after he failed to agree personal terms.

He has since been linked with moves to Milan, Inter and Juventus but there are also two foreign clubs in particular who are keen.

Chelsea and Real Madrid are also very interested in the services of the 2002 World Cup winner. Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation too.

It was believed that Juventus were leading the chase out of the Italian clubs but Inter seem to have jumped the queue.

I really dont think we need Lucio.
I said it again and again that Canna needs to leave, then u will have Materazzi and Adani in the middle. Brechet can also play in the middle.
But u need another defender, but certainly not lucio.. He will cost a lot and isnt that good really to be at inter.

No way man, if Canna goes, the defence'll over rely on cordoba for pace. And Matrix isnt fast.Lucio looks a good buy. :)

New rumours from Stefano Fiore agent:

Inter wants Fiore, his contract ends at 2005 so he will be sold probably.Kallon would go to Lazio on loan.

With Zacch in 3412 we don't need him since we have Deki.In 442 there would be place for him but I prefer other options.

Fiore isnt a Kaka or Ronaldinho. We don't need him. Even if he comes, what difference does he make? :)

According to Sports.it Italia we are linked to Zebina and Lucio. Lucio would be a good buy but what would we need Zebina??

Channel 4 reports Marquez snubbing our offer. Personally I think we should have gone after him after WC 2002 but now I doubt that Barca would sell him.

And we have been linked with Fiore who I don't really think we need...
