I remember a certain Leftback at that time called Javier Zanetti who left his position to track down a young Bale at the rightback flank and almost caught him when Maicon was in lala land...

Now however, because of age and run of games, I'm really concerned the English pathetic press will try and taunt Zanetti with his legend stature if Bale shatters our backline.

We're probably fucked, but I don't think it's specifically because of Bale. Unless of course we play a suicidally high defensive line like we did under Rafa in which case Bale and Lennon will each have a field day.
