10 years of FIFI want to write a little article on our youth players on loan at the moment, and the prospects coming out of that. I'll be addressing exclusively the Primavera+players on loan, rather than the youth academy as a whole (for example).
First, let's start with a line-up:

Francesco Bardi 18.01.1992, aged 22
Francesco Bardi needs no introduction. He's currently playing for Livorno in Serie A - and has played every single game of Livorno's this season. Unfortunately, as part of that, he's conceded an awful lot of goals. A few of those, sadly, are down to individual error, but many are of those have been due to how poor a side Livorno are. This season may have hurt his chances in comparison to Perin at Genoa or Scuffet at Udinese, but there can be no denying the glaring difference of quality between Bardi's team and the latter two. It will be interesting to see where he goes next season - hopefully a loan out to a side more suitable to his level, which will in turn allow him to better display his qualities. A Serie A leader in the making.
Lorenzo Paramatti 02.01.1995, aged 19
Lorenzo Paramatti is one of the hottest young talents coming through at the Primavera at the moment, he's a versatile defender who can play across the back. He's very skilled technically, and it will be interesting to see where he goes next year. A loan certainly is his future - and most likely at the Serie B level. In the long term he is probably a mid-Serie A at best player.
Matteo Bianchetti 17.03.1993, aged 21
Bianchetti's career has been a bit up and down so far. On loan to Verona, he barely played in Serie A this season, before moving to Spezia in Serie B where he instantly came in to the first team line up, before being dropped in the last few games (unknown if injury or other). He has been called, at times, one of the most talented players in the Primavera. I see a bit of a Cordoba in this guy - quick defender who is not hesitant to throw himself into a challenge. The next year will be crucial in making or breaking for him, I expect him to have the qualities to break through at the mid Serie A level hopefully.
Isaac Donkor 15.08.1995, aged 18
One of our hottest youth players, Donkor made a Europa League debut under Andrea Stramaccioni, and was soon rewarded with a new contract after that. He's currently out with a long-term knee injury (I believe), next season is crucial. He should be out on loan though is young enough to remain in the Primavera, and it will be interesting to see what level he plays at. He's very good in the air, and a dynamic and technically capable defender. Mid to top Serie A in his future if all goes well.
Ibrahim M'Baye 19.11.1994, aged 19
Probably one of our best prospects, M'Baye's rise at Livorno this year is well documented. He is a relatively complete - and progressively less hot-headed compared to his earlier days - wing-back who stands head and shoulders above his comparatively aged peers. The primary question is whether the mentality can be shaped into that of a world class player. His stellar rise should continue, and rumours of a return to Inter next season are well placed. Potentially a top class player in the making.
Marco Benassi 05.05.1994, aged 19
Benassi has had an interesting time at Livorno. Barely selected in the first half of the season, he is becoming one of their most important players in midfield. He's still a very raw talent, but the talent is there for all to see. Very good as a 'regista', he's got a long range of passing too and is phenomenal with ball retention. He plays in the mould of a player like Andrea Pirlo - though clearly his long range passing needs a lot of work before this comparison even comes close to being fair. I would expect him to stay out on loan next season to continue refining his skills week in week out, but I think with time he could be a phenomenal player. Top level player in the making, I hope.
Alfred Duncan 10.03.1993, aged 21
Duncan's story is at stark contrast to Benassi's. As a player who excelled for Livorno in Serie B last season, he was expected to make a huge impact at Serie A this year. Unfortunately, he's not yet been able to assert the level of influence he would like. He has proven, however, in spite of all this - that he has the mentality of a champion. When criticised recently, instead of sulking like many previous Inter youth products would have, he put in a star performance. Talks of another loan for the man with 29 Serie A appearances this season are underway, and I think it would be the right move for him. In light of his difficulties this year, though, I'm going to revise down my talent estimation for him to a middling Serie A player for time being, with the right to change this as he plays next season.
Gaston Camara 31.03.1996, aged 18
Gaston Camara will probably be a complete unknown to many people reading this. He was signed on loan from ASD Santarcangelo Juniores at the start of the season, and impressed so much that halfway through the loan, his contract was turned into a permanent signing. He's a very very agile and quick winger who likes to take the ball inside, beat his man, and set up a square ball for the striker. A recent Primavera highlight showed that every chance the primavera created in this particular match was set up by a run like this by Camara. It'll be interesting to see how his talent transfers to the top level, where players are more experienced and physical, and less likely to give him space to attack the full-back. It's hard to call how his talent might transfer, so I will abstain from giving him a rating. Looking forward to seeing our plans for him next year, though. If the talents do transfer well, then he could be a real gem.. But one is also entitled to worry that he might be a bit of an Aiman Napoli or Issah Eliakwu.

Lorenzo Tassi was signed with much fanfare a few years ago, from Brescia as their youngest ever Serie A debutant. His co-ownership was extended last year after only mediocre performances, taking it to a rather unheard of 3 year co-ownership. This year will be crucial, as to obtain his other half Inter will have to shell out about 2 million euros. He is, however, finally starting to come into his own. Captain of the Primavera now, he's also been converted into a defensive midfielder who takes on an 'attacking' regista role. I would compare his attacking attributes to someone like Yaya Toure, without the defensive side. He's starting to show his potential, and whilst he might not have quite yet hit the stellar fanfare he came in with, it's starting to look more like a jewel in the rough. I would say he's currently aiming to be a middling/lower level Serie A player, but it will depend a lot on what happens in his near future. If we sign him out right, which we may well do, expect some great things from this kid.
Frederico Bonazzoli 21.05.1997, aged 16
Bonazzoli, for those who know him, needs no introduction. One of our youngest debutants in quite a long time, his stats are better even than Balotelli's in the Primavera at a comparable age. He's a complete striker, and reminds me a lot of Christian Vieri. He's still a long way from a complete product, and will almost certainly remain in the Primavera for next season, but if he can continue to develop in the fashion he already has, this guy could be one of the best young strikers around in the world. I would hesitantly chalk up his maximum potential to 'world class' - but clearly that's a long way off before we can really consider it. One of the ones I will be following most keenly.
George Puscas 08.04.1996, aged 18
Puscas is an interesting one. Signed on loan last summer quite quietly (when one considers the Capello and Ventre deals, for example), he is one of the leading striker choices for an often-rotated Primavera. Born in 1996, he shows great potential and a great work ethic. He's already been signed outright for the coming summer for 300,000 euros, and it will be interesting to see where he goes from here. We hope he doesn't follow the footsteps of Alibec and Daminuta before him, but rather reach the heights he should be able to. I expect him to be a mainstay of the Primavera next season, and I think he's such a gem that I have discarded Alessandro Capello (2.5 million euro for half) and Michael Ventre - both great Italian striking prospects - in favour of Puscas. He's a player with finesse and great finishing talent, reminds me a bit of Icardi with more roaming.
Hopefully this gives everyone a nice insight into our best young players. As stated, many very talented players have been left out (Manor, Capello, Puscas, Di Gennaro, Crisetig among others) from the starting line up, but I've picked the ones I think most likely to succeed.
