Hey i too am an almost exclusive Seasons or Pro's player, I just enjoy that so much more always have, I would be interested in playing co-op. I'm on PS4 though, my psn is X-CUTER everyone is welcome to add me.

@Ronaldo yeah the passing is not as smooth as it was before but that's a good thing because in previous titles anyone could play tiki taka and bore you to death with passing, now it actually takes skill and is more realistic so misplaced passes happen quite a lot. Playing one-touch football is sexy when done correctly!
Try using the R2 button (if you have flair passing on L2) it gives a lot more power to the pass but remember that the player receiving the pass will have issues controlling it.

You mean L1+X right?

There is not always enough time to do that. You need to pass quick and the keep the ball moving. I tried to do this pass with purpose but I end up losing the ball so I gave up on in.

Also, I have to disagree with you about that tiki taka thing. Just go to the setting and put everything pass related 'assisted' so it would assist the direction and power and you can do tiki taka pretty easily. But the problem is that a lot of times the pass ends up going to the wrong player.

Try it yourself. When you steal the ball from the opponent in your half try and make a fast counter attack. Not with triangle or 1-2s but with normal X pass. Imagine player A got the ball and now I run with him and I pass it to player B. Then I want to pass the ball back to player A but the game just doesn't do it! The two players are just running alongside each other and I aim the analog and try to make a perfect pass but the damn player just doesn't pass the ball back! instead he passes to any other teammate no matter how far he is.

I'm assuming this is a glitch which needs to be fixed. I think when in 'assisted-pass' mode, since you are in a counter attacking kind of situation, the game assumes that you want to get the ball far up the pitch as fast as you can so it tries and passes the ball to a player further up the pitch. In a counter attacking situation with assisted passing it just doesn't do 1-->2-->1. Instead it just does 1-->2-->3.

This seems to happen with some formations more than others. Didn't pay enough attention to recognize which.

I agree they have downgraded the passing in this compared to previous Fifa's, but I am slowly getting used to it not that I want to get used to it, but the misplaced passes have killed a lot of my games so far.

I asked in the PS4 thread but anybody interested in a Fifa league just for us FIFers? Would have to be PS4 owners unfortunately just PM if you're interested I will try putting a league together if we get enough members to cooperate. So far two people are in.

No, L1 + X is just a normal pass but the passer will run forward and you could pass it to him again, that's it and there's nothing special in the pass it self. with R2 the pass it self becomes more powerful!

And regarding the rest of your post, I don't think I've had the same issue. As far as I'm aware everyone plays with assisted settings. To me it just feels that passing got nerfed a lot and you have to aim exceptionally well which is why it's harder now, I could be wrong though.

Zoro, you already know I'm in and hopefully others will participate too.

R1 + X / RT + A is the method to do passes with purpose. They are basically just powerful passes. Useful when trying to pass to someone who is not near.

There's also L2 + X / LT + A. It's basically a pass with skill. Backheels and that stuff.

Yea sorry. I meant R1+X. I always mix up those buttons.

I know about it but as I said it takes a bit of time to do because you have to put enough power into it.

In career mode why are players such nazis about wages. I try to buy a guy in the Colombian league making 5,000 a week and he rejects me until I give him what he wants. Same with players on my team they want wage increase of 80+%

Yeah, it's all good before you score against them, then they become unstoppable.

A tip, for FIFA in general, sit back and engage in tackles only when they are near the penalty, before that cut passing corridors - press with the RB and use to control the actual player to be 2nd cover for possible passes, runs or through balls. If you press them they'll just pass around you and you'll leave gaping holes in defense.

I can't even get the ball off the the cpu. All they do is pass around, the moment I press them they start passing it back in their own half and repeat the cycle :chan: It's so boring to play now. And also has anyone else noticed when you play World Class or Legendary, more of your passes start going completely wrong, even short passes to a player like 1 meter away :fffuuu:
