I think the current season of Big Bang Theory is absolutely fantastic. Definitely the best comedy show out there.

For a different kind of funny, download Always Sunny in Philly. #SeinfeldOnCrack

Anyone watched The X Files? I am a huge fan, and although the first episode was bad, as it was to be expected, I don't think they made any major mistakes to affect the whole miniserise. It was an amazing feeling to watch nevertheless.

Mulder felt like it was Moody channeling Mulder, which is not necessarily bad, though weird and Gillian Anderson as Scully was her usual excellent self. I guess they had to squeeze in a lot, which resulted in Mulder looking way more paranoid than he ever really was.

I read some critics objected Mulder changing his mind so quickly in the episode about the nature of the alien abductions and the conspiracy, but I don't think they have a point. He was already entertaining similar thoughts before, at the end of the season 4 for and for a solid part of the season 5. It's different this time, of course, but not unbelievable.

Anyway, I loved Darin Morgan's episodes and can't wait to see what he'll do. I honesty struggle to find many TV shows and episodes to match Clyde Bruckman's final repose, Jose Chung's from outer space or Humbug.

Yep, huge X-Files fan too. I'll watch the second episode tonight; it seems FOX released them both in 2 consecutive days.
I actually like the whole twist on the abductions. They brought modern day "realism" to it, without getting into spoilers. As opposed to you, Kazaan, i thought Mulder was his usual self and Scully the one who felt very weird. Gillian's aged... not very 'gracefully', i don't know how to put it, and so has her acting. The whole time on screen she felt as Hannibal's psychologist, not the Dana Scully I'm used to. Skinner was the same. You-know-who at the end the same.
It'll be very interesting as it develops, for sure. With this arc of sorts, they could go on longer than just a single season, assuming they'll still do paranormal episodes to go with their traditional lore.

I definitely hope they'll go on a bit longer. They influenced so many, they are the unsung heroes, if you will :) of the current golden age of TV. Them and Twin Peaks. Probably few others, but I know those two. Maybe Buffy too. TV people were pariahs in terms of popularity, money, artistically as well I guess, as far as I understand these relations, and now they're on pair with movies. Why not have The X files play with everything they've got now in terms of production etc.

I actually liked the first two episodes of the X-Files, but I was not really a fan while growing up because I used to be scared with basically everything (still, but I just watch it and get over it).

Season 3 of Homeland has been pretty good so far. I like when they stick more to the CIA storylines. They have also more effectively weaved the personal stuff in for this season to strengthen the main story.

I didn't know about Wayword Pines neither, are they just going to pick it up where it left? Is Matt Dillon going to come back?

Anyone seen Making a Murderer? What do you think?

I liked Homeland throughout, not sure why so many people disliked its seasons apart from season 1. What I didn't like a lot about it is that I feel like the characters are a bit too emotionally unstable, something that surely would make them not the proper people for intelligence agencies. But yeah, in general I liked it, I like spy shit.

Deutchland 83, anyone? Great German drama about East-West relations in the 80s, definitely got an HBO vibe to it.

The Walking Dead was fine, not great or anything but I guess it didn't make me want to stop watching tv forever.

On the other side, this week's episode of The X-files made me so angry, I can't. It made no sense whatsoever and it was just a waste of time, for real.

next week is the last episode of xfiles. looks like they only chose to do the first and the last with their traditional mythology. it was fun to watch for nostalgia, but i don't see any renewal.
excited for vikings season 4, premieres on the 18th.
