Our own man Tardelli was name Egyot's coach after Mohsen Saleh resigned form that position...
He will get $40,000 monthly with an addition of $100,000 if he gets Egypt to World Cup in Germany..

I definately wish him the best along with Egypt but i trully hope he learned alot since his days at Inter...because if he didnt Egypt are better off with someone else.

I don't wish him luck. This guy hurt our reputation by losing 6-0 to milan and giving away two players that we'd love to have now: Ferrari and Pirlo.

I think Hossam Hassan is passed his prime although i always liked him. Players like Ahmed Mido and Khaled Bibo should be given more playing time to form a partenrship for the future.

Hamed, Hossam Hassan is the best striker in Egypt. If you watch him u will know..
Khaled Bibo is history now man, no one likes him in the country.. He scored 2 goals in the past year and a half.. He cant run and no club wants him.. He only scored 4 goals 3 yrs ago in a derby match between ahly and zamalek.. that was it..!

Nowadays u have ahmed bilal, whos like hossam hassan.. but he is injured now for 5 months.

What about Ghaly? He plays for Feyenoord? I think the lad has a bright future ahead of him, if only Feyenoord knew that... :depress:

:embarass:

I though he only played 17 games as a substitute? There you go, that’s how confused FC Twente fans like myself are. :D

Tardelli fired after Egyptian loss

CAIRO, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Former Italian World Cup winner Marco Tardelli has been fired as coach of Egypt after their surprise defeat in Libya last week, the country's football association announced on Monday.
Tardelli, 50, had been in charge since May, specifically appointed to lead the country's bid to qualify for the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.

Egypt's surprise loss to Libya left the country in fourth place in Group Three, five points behind leader Ivory Coast and with just two wins from their opening five matches.

Tardelli was in charge for seven matches, winning four, but was given the sack after a meeting of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo on Sunday.

The firing was announced on Monday just hours after Tardelli had told reporters he was determined to see out his contract until after the 2006 African Nations Cup finals, which Egypt will host.

Tardelli was a member of Italian World Cup winning side in 1982 and won 80 caps for his country.

I don't know why they hired him in the first place!!! Leaving his coaching record aside, Egypt made a mistake in hiring a guy with no NT coaching experience. Of course, that plus the fact that he is a horrible coach.

I'm sorry for Egypt. They shouldn't have gone for name, but experience. Tardelli may be a big name because of his successful playing career and coaching history with the Azzurrini. His name soared to even higher heights when he coached turbulent Inter. I bet the Egyptian FA doesn't have a clue about his reputation, but just his resume. Best of luck for you guys in reaching the World Cup!

Why did they sign Tardelli in the first place? :confused2:

Can any of our Egyptian members tell me how Mohamad (Sorry, can´t spell it) Zidan is doing for the NT, please? :) He´s had some attitude problems (getting into fights on clubs, etc) but he seems to be a great talent...

Zidane never played for our national team. He is playing cards with the national team because he thinks he might get the Danish nationality and play for you lots
Anyway I dont think he is the player we need. He never did anything for the youth teams here in Egypt and we have decent players.

Now considering Tardelli, I am glad he is out. He made me lose faith in the national team, and actually last match I was supporting Lybia for reasons only Egyptians will know about it.
It is something to do with his selection of players and how he is rejecting Zamelek players whom are the best in their positions and on the contrary picking the ahly players(the team that the egyptian interista cheers for) :p

Thats why all ahly fans are sad cuz Tardelli is gone :ass:

Yeah , I was glad also that he left because at the libya match , I was very frustrated to see bench-warmers of Ahly in place of great (already natioanl team) talents of zamalek not picked in the first place not to mention how Tardelli wasn't using most of the players in their right positions , taking alot of vacations and believe it or not guys he used to travel after every match to italy then to return before the other match by a few days without being aware of the players or watching them in real in the Egyptian league . This made us all Furious especially the media to sack him .

That guy screwed us badly, he treated the players like second degree, the only good thing was the 3-2 win over Cameroon which was supposed to be 3-0 if it weren't for the defense!!!
But now under Shehata, Watch out Ivory Coast!!
Mido is out, but Zidan is in!!
The problem is who to play with Zidan?
May be Osama Hosny?
