Liverpool could be perfectly plausible for Handanovic too, to be honest. Roma...

35 mil double swoop for Icardi-Handanovic, calling it now

icardi alone is worth 35 millions

Maybe, but would we ever get that much for him? It's gonna be like Sneijder or Coutinho 2.0

Arsenal? PSG? Monaco? Atletico if they sell mandzukic to city, and city sell jovetic to juve? Liverpool too.

so yeah there's always demand for a striker like icardi who is 21/22 and scores for fun

PSG with Icardi and Zlatan? Zlatan would end up murdering Icardi. Icardi doesn't suit a team that plays possession football like Arsenal. City just bought Bony so they won't be getting another central striker. Jovetic cannot even make their CL squad. Monaco has no money after their owner's divorce. Atletico is one side that I could imagine Icardi fitting in at considering their style of player, but City won't be buying Mandzukic.

Seriously, none of the sides you mentioned are viable options other than Liverpool who I doubt have the money for him. Chelsea could be a possibility, but will they pay 30m for a backup striker?

does it really... matter.. though?

Since when have PSG acquired people on the basis of how they fit into their team? Or City been at all sensible? Chelsea are looking for a number 2 striker at the end of the season, Icardi isnt an unreasonable shout. Liverpool are in the Premiership - they'll definitely have the money to spend on him, especially with Gerrard's wages going (for example).

Did you see the match tonight? Have you followed the news at all?

It's quite clear that there's a very strong chance he's leaving

Yes & yes. Now, please show me some news sources you've seen that make it quite clear on that very strong chance of leaving.
Thus far it's only been a vague "argument" about image rights on his eventual contract renewal, and some even more vague media specualtion that if he doesn't renew, he'll get sold.

Apparently the cause for not celebrating his goals today was speculated by some as him feeling undervalued due to not getting a new contract with more money. I don't buy that crap obviously, because first it's more dumb speculation and secondly, one with a milligram of brain tissue understands it's because of last week.

Kovacic too was heavily speculated and in the end signed till 2019.
This article, sorry to say, it's yet another speculation at best and worst, especially regarding Mauro.

I cannot imagine Icardi wanting to play second fiddle, or like 5th at PSG. Just doesn't seem like something that would interest him. He'll want to be top-dog wherever he goes. City have Bony, Dzeko and Aguero, Chelsea has Costa.

I still think Liverpool is the most reasonable bet. Chelsea being second. Maybe Wolfsburg if they're serious about challenging Bayern

zlatan has Cavani now, a year ago that was unthinkable. arsenal plays with giroud, and are looking for cavani, so yeah. City has Bony and Aguero, jovetic and dzeko will be gone imo next season. Aguero is more injured than not. And its not that jovetic can't make the squad in CL its because he doesn't fit city anymore. U never know in winter there were strong rumors for Mandzukic.

look 21 year olds like Icardi come rare, and most clubs know that.

But that's exactly what worries me. The separation with the fans. Despite all the difficulties in the past with the fans, he's never ever had a situation in which he didnt celebrate, off the top of my head.

This is also not JUST about him wanting to leave us, but as Jrgnsn points out, the financial situation we are in where we have PUBLICLY admitted that one of our biggest players will leave.

I dont think the money we'll raise from Handanovic would alone cover what we need, so Icardi has to be the prime candidate for that now.

we get fully backup from nike for 2 years to comeback in ucl..
So I doubt thohir will sell their best player especially the ones he loves, like icardi and kova..
With krhin, mbaye, bonazzoli and duncan transfer lately i can see inter will cash in our all hot prospect right away, 3-4 mil from bunch of kids will more than help..
Benassi, bardi, crisetig, or even puscas maybe will be next candidate..

Ausilio very publicly stated that if we dont make the champions league we can expect one of our big names to leave.

IN
Santon - 4M
Shaqiri - 16M
Brozovic - 8M
Dodo - 3M (for next year)

Total - 31M

OUT
Alvarez - 11M
Bonazzolli - 5M
Taider - 8M

Total - 24M

Schellotto, Longo, Laxalt, Khrin, Botta, Pereira, Mbaye, Bardi?
(5-6; 5-6; 3; 4; 3; 3-4; 3-4; 5... napkin estimation 31M on the low end)

Before touching Icardi there's the need to offload at least one or two out of Guarin, Kuzmanovic and Hernanes as seemingly Brozovic will claim his spot in the starting lineup.

I think we can easily come out clear, even without CL money. We can even make some profit out of youth players. It's just that we won't be able to buy anyone of significance in the summer, although we've already done that in the winter, which is even better because this way Mancini has more than enough time to work.

Bonazzoli is already gone money booked in this window. Laxalt is on 18 month loan.

I'd rather see guarin hernanes kuz and vidic out than touch icardi, but it seems unlikely ATM to be honest.

I don't think Hernanes fits into our team anymore. Wouldn't be surprised if we sell him during summer. Palacio too.

Little birdies tell me that Handa will be sold and that we are already in advanced talks with Genova for Perin...

Oh god I hope that the birdies are wrong as I think Perin is a brain farter...and FIF would explode with him in goal

We could do far worse than Perin. Plus the kid is young, so he should only improve with time.

Considering Handa is 30 and Perin is young and hyped, how does this make sense in terms of ffp? Surely Perins price is bigger than Handa's

less wages? We'll probably structure the payment over 3-4 years too probably.

I'd like that, I think it's a risk worth taking. I would also like Loris Karius from Mainz.
