Even though Helveg sux, he's good enough to be JZ's back up. Besides, why buy a back-up for a player who's never tired or injured??? :strong:
I don't think we need anyone in midfield, ecspecially. Hell, we have too many players in the midfield. IMO, we should have a squad which is not too big. I think one of our biggest problem under Zac is that no one knows whether they're a starter or now. And we have been switching 3-5-2 and 3-4-3 so many times the players are finding it hard to adjust to the formation.
Give them some time. Look at Arsenal. They gave Cygan time to adjust and I believe this season he has improved. They gave Toure a chance to shine and he too hasn't disappoint. Chance, time, patience and consistency. Those are what our players need. Football isn't all about transfers. And transfers activities is not the best solution to improve a team.
EDIT: Also, take a look at Roma. I believe they have a similar torrid season in 2002/2003 just like the one we're having now. What did they do??? Just buy 2 players. One of them to replace a player who's transferred. Other than that, they promote youngsters to the team and still use a pretty much similar squad. The result??? You can see it for yourself.
Yet another example, Milan. Other than Cafu, Pancaro and Kaka, most of the starters were starters too back last season. The result??? They've gelled up as a unit, got used to each other and have improved in the league a lot from last season.
