The only reliable midfielder we have is Barella. If he is injured we are done. Gag can be useful. Our midfield is still a mess. Brozo and Vidal are just a financial burden.

One thing I don't like about Sensi is he is still counted by Marotta as an actual player for Inter when we all know he is mostly injured. Do we have to wait until he is Nanggolan's age for Marotta to wake up and start thinking about getting rid of him and signing a reliable replacement?

I've been thinking since last year that he needs to play in a position where he doesn't have to over extend himself as much, a role like Pirlo had. I don't even think he has the same characteristics of Pirlo, but he could serviceable there while not having to press/ tackle/ beat his man as much. He wouldn't be able to exploit some of his better characteristics, but I'd rather sacrifice that and get something out of him rather than nothing. We should be trying to minimize the amount of physical strain we place on his body.

Of course there is always the risk of injury in a contact sport and it may not increase his longevity at all in the end.
