It's not a problem, but we shouldn't rely on him. That's why we need new midfielders, but we still obviously need to redeem Sensi.

Yes, Sensi had two seasons (sadly going to make them three) where he missed around a FOURTH of the season but you guys are talking about half the season, which is truly an overreaction. The problem in our case is that we were too reliant on him, even if he wasn't doing as good we'd be equally pissed that we are missing an extra midfielder at this point...

With yesterdays announcement that Sensi would be coming back after the Christmas break, I had the thought that maybe Inter misdiagnosed or mistreated his initial injury which was then aggravated by him returning against Dortmund. Also, the fact that he had to see a specialist in Germany leads me to believe that the club's understanding of the injury and what was required for recovery may not have been comprehensive.

Genuine question though: how many of those games was he not at full fitness?

I only know this seasons circumstances with any certainty. He was on the bench in our games against Parma and Bologna, and even featured at Dortmund of course, but he was clearly still injured (or thereabouts) as evidenced by him playing zero minutes since.

I suspect many of those matches at Sassuolo where he was on the bench were due to him not fully recovering from injury.

Maybe they knew he wasn't a durable player and they wanted an unsuspecting and gullible club to sign. Anyway, if I were Marotta I would get rid of him as soon as possible. Just consider the many injuries he will get for just playing for the Italian national team alone, given Sensi's carelessness issues and Manshitni's total reliance on Sensi as a starter regardless of whether he is fit or not.
