LA SPEZIA - Nerazzurri president Giacinto Facchetti was interviewed by Inter Channel after the first half of today's friendly match against Spezia.

On the club's summer transfer trading, he said: "It has certainly been conducted well; I think we have reached the goals we set ourselves."

Facchetti was also asked for his opinion of young defender Paolo Hernan Dellafiore's good performance: "He improves each time I see him. He really is very good. By now Dellafiore is a first team player and he will be very helpful to us during the season."

So Vieri wasn´t the captain either. Could it be that Pasquale was the captain, AGAIN? Because I could have sworn that Vieri would most definitely be the captain in this game.

Game over BTW. 1-1 which is a failure.

From what I read it seems that Veron had a poor game (misplaced and subbed after an hour),Vieri is improving,90 minutes and a goal,Zanettis fitness is also improving(90 minutes) and that Ze Maria had a good game with 90 minutes and an assist!

Spezia - At the end of Inters friendly against Spezia,Roberto Mancini gave an interview to Inter channel:

A good presentation from the team and good practice for Vieri and C.Zanetti...

''For them it was important to return,they were scared of playing(Fabio:?).But it was important for the whole team to play,especially beacuse next week the seasons starts.''


A comment on the performance of Paulo Hernan Dellafiore...

''He is a top quality player like many players from our youth sector.He is very young and has alot of time to develop.''

How have you seen the squad today?

''It was important to play a good game without anybody getting injured.We did well and I am happy with the teams performance.''

Mr.Moratti yesterday said that he now has fun seeing his Inter perform

The credit goes to the players,they are the ones that step onto the pitch.If the President enjoys himself then thats good.

I just watched the highlights, Inter didn't play well at all. But we must not be concerned, the "REAL" games haven't started yet. The most important thing is that Vieri is back , The HAMMER as well.

So did Dellafiore play on the wing or in the middle? I'm thinking he played in the center of the defense since Ze Maria was listed as a RB. Hopefully Dellafiore continues to improve and becomes a mainstay because Inter could really use an up and coming defensive star and it would be so awesome if it would be Dellafiore :star:
