If We are struggling to score goals and play our game then we should not be talking about the Scudetto.

Of course, we are Italian Champions and were favourites at Christmas but we should not be focusing on talking about the Scudetto. I think that is part of our problem: believing the hype, getting lost in that hype and getting distracted to the point of only thinking about the big picture rather than taking it game by game.

We started the season as a fun team to watch, but now we are too tired and unfocused. Obviously our owners are to blame.

Since the second half of the season began, Inter have had 101 total shots, 53% of which were on target.

Problem is, only 6.1% of them was converted into goals so roughly 1 goal per every 17 attempt.

Please don`t bring up Icardi now. Perhaps Inzaghi should introduce training for finishing!

He seems to have lost it completely. He gave more freedom to the players. When things went well early in the season, they enjoyed playing, game was smooth, goals were scored Now we are stuck and the team is completely out of ideas. That's the point when the coach should step in but I don't see anything even remotely different in our game. We just try to push through the wings, cross the ball and take the counter as the cross almost never connects to our player.

This team is simply not good enough to create its own game with their own minds. We haven't have such players who could create something out of nothing. Maybe Sanchez but he's old and can't be a difference maker anymore, unfortunately. And anyway we shouldn't rely on single players, we should be coached properly and find ways to play better as a team.

Even blind man will see that we play without any game plan, its like a fucking neighborhood, everyone doing what they see as right at the moment, no guidance from inzaghi, only shity and late subs..
Honestly, i dont know what to think anymore, its really hard to watch same shity performance every match and nothing changes, so disgusting football..

Last Inter's win: Serie A January 22 vs. Venezia - Coppa Italia February 8 vs. Roma

Last Inter's goal: February 12 vs. Napoli

This is utterly pathetic. The season reminds me a lot of Spalletti's first season. Great first round but once some players dropped in form we went in a 8 game winless run. We turned things around only when Spalletti shaked things up by dropping Vecino, bringing Brozovic in double pivot and playing Rafinha behind Icardi.

If we want to save our season, Inzaghi needs to shake things up. The current set up isn't working anymore. It's obvious for anyone to see. Else, we're heading to a banter era season finale.

Yeah, exactly. Things aren't working anymore, at all. Inzaghiball is long gone. If it's tiredness or whatever, it's not relevant. Relevant is, it's not working. Changes are required.

If we can beat Salernitana, that doesn't mean much. We can't score against good defenses with our low-probability chance creation, ie. crosses from the wings and setpieces and even shittier teams in Serie A can defend if they want to.

Sorry to say it but Limone is mediocre coach. Hope I'm wrong but very rare I'am.

Holy fuck, that's scary!

And Venezia was a last minute winner at the death.

We haven't had one convincing game this year.

I was saying when we beat Torino that we are shit and done, people were celebrating ugly win and ignoring that but I saw that we are goin into bad place. Whole team totally collapsed. Everyone is tired and out of form. Same fkn way Inzaghi did in Lazio two season ago. Playing same 11 all the fucking time,no depth, and always forcing the same shit..No balls to change something,to risk anything. Hate coaches like that. From Spaletti,Mancini, even fkn Cunte( who had fkn results although our play was crap, but we had individuals that saved our asses from week to week which we lack now) and now Limone. The worst fucking thing that can happen is seing those gobbo scum gettin Coppa and scudetto in the end. I will vanish for few months from this world.

Simone needs to keep innovating. This is why we were successful in the first half of the reason. This year he has stuck to one way of playing. Our opponents - big or small - have learnt our tricks. Thus we stop winning.

By and large Simone has a few principles in his game plan:
  • Always play the ball from the back
  • Handa to either Skriniar or Bastoni. Ball goes to Brozo. Brozo then decides whether it goes to Calha or Barella
  • Dzeko stays outside the box and makes 5m pass to Calha or Barella. Only when pressed he could send it back to Brozo
  • Perisic has the permission to try 1-on-1 dribble. Dumfries/Darmian doesn't
  • This is why we tend to see Bastoni has all the time and space to make diagonal crosses. But Skriniar tends to make overlapping runs
So if I were the opponent, I have a few tricks to tie Inter down:
  • Harass Brozo at all times. Doesn't matter if we're attacking, defending, or waiting for a Handa goal kick
  • Send 3 players up to press the space between Brozo/Skriniar/Bastoni. Not a single soul more. But these 3 players just have to stay committed and Inter will eventually misplace a pass
  • If the ball does reach Calha/Barella, no need to chase. But man mark Dzeko. Because no attack can be initiated without having Dzeko to redistribute the ball.
  • If the ball rolls to the right flank, Dumfries will never shoot. So just push him to the corner flag.
That's it. It's that simple. Milan has done it. Even Genoa has done it.

I know fatigue plays a role. But at the end of the day, our opponents have learnt our game plan. Simone must come up with something different or we would even risk Salernitana.

I see why he was so mad when lukaku was sold. He's running Dzeko into an early grave.

Add one more to the Limone List!

3 x Milan
2 x Juve
2 x Napoli
2 x Atalanta
2 x Real Madrid
1 x Liverpool

= 12 games total

Out of 12 games against big teams we've won 2, drawn 6 and lost 4.
In chronological order: L, D, D, D, W, L, W, D, L, D, L, D
In these 12 games we've scored 11 goals and conceded 14. 5 of the 11 scored were from set pieces.

In earlier big games, we had long stretches of domination and we were unlucky not to capitalize on some great football. These days we can't even say "at least we played well" because our performances have been declining too. Today was particularly abysmal. Even worse than against Genoa. In fact, in the most recent 5 big matches, we've scored just 2 goals (1 from open play) and conceded 5.

This is as "4th place" as it gets.

Time to stop fucking around and make some serious changes. Field a 3-4-3. Switch to a back four. Do SOMETHING different. We can't run out there every match with the same incompetent tactics.

I'm not sure where I stand on Inzaghi through all this. On one hand he's had us playing some of the most entertaining football I've seen this club play and was doing well with a team that was clearly downgraded over the summer. On the other hand this run has gone on for far too long and it's hard to put ALL the blame on our strikers when the rest of the team are not scoring either AND look like complete ass while doing so. Something needs to change from his perspective.

With that being said you can't blame him for our club making its biggest ever sale and replacing our #9 with a 36 year old Dzeko as its definitive starter. You can't blame him for our horrific depth. You can't blame him for Lautaro being literally retarded. You can't blame him for Correa being injured.

What do we even do if he can't get us out of this mess? He's shown he can do good things here, do we TRY to go after the player profiles he wants with our limited budget for next season? We can sack him but there's no other available coaches that we would want that play a 3-5-2. We can't hire a coach who plays a different formation because we can't afford such a drastic change to our squad until this club is sold. It would be wrong to sack him unless we fail to qualify for CL I think.

What do we do if he does turn this around but fails to win the league (or does win the league)? The problems with this squad are so evident and the ages of Dzeko, Perisic, Darmian, Ranocchia, D'ambrosio, and soon Brozovic, all concern me. Vecino and Vidal will be gone. How will Scamacca and Frattesi fix the problems Inzaghi's team has had this season when it goes beyond that? Hell, we might not even be able to afford them anyway.

I am so concerned on where this club is heading because so much of it boils down to us not having any money to spend. Fuck Suning. There's a lot of shit to put on Inzaghi's head but all of his issues are part of a much bigger thing.

If ever there was a time to try something new it's against Salernitana on Friday. Start Gosens and Correa/Darmian seems obvious choices. After that it gets a little iffy, maybe start 🐸 and Radu at the back? Then things get tricky besides Barella starting, cause he'll be "rested" for Liverpool match. Which midfielders join him using 3 or 4? Who then is going to be the striker?

Of course if Inzaghi loses this one, lot's of people will be giving him the fish eye. He'll probably go with our "best" eleven with a couple of tweaks maybe Gosens for Perisic and Darmian for Dumfries.
