I liked rotations today aswell. Lautaro playing this much, every game is not good, but it is what it is.

Anyway, man we weren't ready for Salzburg's active game. At times it looked like our players are just trying to play this game as one of the days in regular job. I underestimated Salzburg, these pros should not and they should give more effort. These are CL matches, you fuck up and soon you won't be playing these matches anymore.

I liked how Mhkitaryan was taken out at half-time, he wasn't having a great game (though don't know if there was some knock or something else than just poor performance).

For Mkhitaryan I think because he had yellow and a couple of warning fouls, it’s an auto Inzaghi’s sub

Yeah, look where that shit got us. We're only just sitting top of both current competitions and managing our squad rotation reasonably well. What a fucking dweep.
Shame he isn't good enough for Inter.

Idea: Stramaccioni.

Barella and Dimarco are of the weakest players, but they are not subbed. Questionable decision by Inzaghi.

Barella? You gotta be kidding me? He fucked up where he lost 2 balls in 30 seconds or something but he was very solid today.
I didn't like him. He was involved but nothing decisive. Anyway, Inzaghi proved me wrong. Dimarco with the assist.

I'd say Barella stayed on because he had the legs for it, Mhki on the other hand looked spent at the end of the first half. We can have a cock fight behind the shed if you don't agree with me, mano a mano, hen vs hen

Probably should have brought some subs a bit earlier imo, but it turned out ok.

"Simone Inzaghi feels that there are no doubts about everything he did to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan.

The coach spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN after his team’s Serie A victory over Roma, via FCInterNews. He reacted to the 1-0 victory, and also gave his thoughts on Lukaku.

By now, the story between Inter and Lukaku is well-known.

The Belgian decided to negotiate with the likes of Juventus and AC Milan whilst the Nerazzurri had been trying to sign him. Then, Lukaku became unreachable for Inter altogether.

What’s not been entirely clear yet is why Lukaku had seemingly become ambivalent against Inter.

The 30-year-old had all but forced through a loan move from Chelsea last summer.

And suddenly, there seemed to be a complete lack of enthusiasm about rejoining Inter.

There had been some rumours of a rift between Lukaku and Inter coach Inzaghi.

One of the main reasons for this was that Lukaku frequently didn’t start in the biggest matches last season. Instead, it was Edin Dzeko who often got the nod.

It was the Bosnian who started in the Champions League final.

But on the other hand, Inzaghi had been one of Lukaku’s main sponsors last summer. And by all accounts, the 47-year-old was keen to plan for this season around the Belgian as well.

Asked if he crossed paths with Lukaku this evening, Inzaghi made clear that “We haven’t seen each other.”

“I’ve already expressed my thoughts on Lukaku,” the 47-year-old continued.

“Everyone knows how much I did to bring him back, and then how much I tried to bring him back against,” the coach continued.

“His decision was to go somewhere else. Personally I’ve never come to terms with that.”

“I haven’t met with him again yet,” the Inter coach made clear.

He then hit out that “The choices I’ve made have always been for the good of Inter. I’ve never made choices for the benefit of one individual player.”

And Inzaghi also gave his thoughts on striker Marcus Thuram.

“We all knew his qualities,” he said of the Frenchman.

“After the first week we understood that he could do extremely well.”

“There were no doubts about his performance,” the coach went on. “He’s fortunate to know the language very well.”

“He’s fit in very well thanks to his teammates,” the Inter coach made clear.

And the Inter coach also praised midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

“He came here and immediately showed great personality,” he said of the Albanian.

“He’s growing a lot.”

Next game we play against a very young Atalanta side. I would like Inter to play a bit more reserved, make the Atalanta players antsy

Obligatory "but he lost points to Sassuolo"

and then the obligatory "but he brought Inter to a CL final"

That sub SDV for Bisseck was so idiotic, but apart from that the rest were very good. I want to apologize to him for all of my tantrums when we got Klaassen. He definitely gives enough minutes to Asllani and slowly integrate him in the team. His rotation is close to excellent so far, which could be decisive in late stages of the season. We jumped out of the CL group stage for 3rd year in a row, so congratulations coach.

I liked the substitution because Bisseck was at risk of being sent out. He had two challenges already and was on a yellow so it was perfectly logical to replace him.

Inzaghi has done a fantastic job of rotating thus far. Hope he keeps it going.

Also I don’t know if it was for him or Sommer, but the tactical tweak to hoof the ball instead of playing it short basically won us the game. Salzburgs whole game plan was to press us crazy in the build up phase, but we were physically superior and took advantage of it by hitting long balls starting from the 35th minute mark.
