I agree, but I'm not so convinced about Scalvini, because of the overall quality of Atalanta players, when they are taken out of their system.yeah, but my point was just generally about paying for quality.
If you're spread thin - like we were a few years ago - 2x20m players is better for the squad than 1x40m player. But we're in a position where we really need to improve quality and squad depth - signing 4 Gags-level players or Scalvini+Frattesi, I know what I'd prefer tbh.

Quite the contrary. I think he would become better than Darmian for us by just training with the team for awhile (in scenario he wouldn't slot in immediately).Yeah I think that’s too simplistic. Players learn by playing. Scalvini is not going to magically become better than Darmian by just training.
but i think Onana was actually kind of a good example - he showed he deserved to be there, and it took 3 months integration timeYeah I understand your points @CafeCordoba and @.h. I’m skeptical because our coach still started Handanovic for a quarter of the season despite Onana clearly being better. And he still plays him randomly. He also plays Gagliardini when it’s obvious he’s not better than Asllani. He would play D’Ambrosio as a RWB before he finally gave a chance to Bellanova. He plays Correa in garbage minutes of games we have a comfortable lead instead of Carboni. You get my point.
Jury is still out on whether Inzaghi can develop a young player into being a starter for this team. Or even a consistent contributor.
who is the man below scalvini?
Armando Izzowho is the man below scalvini?
Yes.but i think Onana was actually kind of a good example - he showed he deserved to be there, and it took 3 months integration time
Asllani I cant really explain, but dambro has been solid enough tbh.
Asllani, Bella, Carboni are different stories really - all 3 of those combined cost less than 1 of Scalvini/Frattesi
TBH, I suspect we want to take the risky gamble on those guys. Some of our saved salaries will cover it already, if we do sell Onana and/or Brozovic the plusvalenza will cover next season for us already, and then we just 'work it out' as we need toYes.
I think Gags offers different stuff to Inzaghi, mostly size and physicality. Asllani doesn't play the same way. But yeah, I would have used Asllani aswell.
Bellanova IMO didn't earn anything at the start of the season. Bellanova wasn't convincing when he played (the basic game), only in this latter part of the season he's been able to do something on the flank.
Again, Inter is not for anyone's development. If you are good enough, you play. If we pay 40m for Scalvini (I don't know can we really do that), I'm sure we've scouted him well enough to be sure he's gonna be good enough. As talked here, he might not be automatic starter in the first 6 months or something and that's fine. It takes time to get used to a new team, coach etc. but I wouldn't have fears if we signed Scalvini.
I just feel these Scalvini/Frattesi rumors are so out of depth when it comes to our finances. They are valued like 40m€ a piece. Can't see us signing both in any scenario.
Handanovic starting now at latter part of the season is just to get him enough games to get the record, out of respect for his career at Inter.
That`s precisely why I`m expecting Roberto Pereyra to join for free from Udinese to replace Donkey5.If one of our starting midfielders leaves maybe, but as of now we need solid back ups who can replace useless shitfucks like Gagliardini in the squad.
I'd take Frattesi over the two above. If Brozovic leaves, I`d rather expect the club to sign Kessié than SMS - due to price vs age factor.
LOL never ever thought I'd see the day FIF would choose a bang average player like Frattesi over SMS - Our long desired midfield target.I'd take Frattesi over the two above.
