Unfortunately the rest was tired... we played way too slow, nervous and afraid to lose. Didn't create a lot of chances. Not that Argentina was any better, but I guess in a way we deserved to lose... This was the max we could get.

Hope this fresh generation keeps growing and people like Depay, Wijnaldum and Clasie will grow to be the next Van Persie, Robben or Sneijder, while Vlaar and De Vrij turn out to be awesome defenders.

Van Persie has looked tired and shit the past games btw.

Yeah. He was dominant, made Messi look like an average player, shame about the penalty miss. My vote for MOTM still goes to Mascherano for that tackle and the fact he was knocked out and still managed to recover to boss the midfield.

On an unrelated note, has Messi lost a step? I feel he doesn't have that explosion and ability to separate himself from a defender he once did.
