If he´s really born in 1/5/1978 that just makes more sense than born in 10/28/1984.

This is most likely BS. But if it turns out to be truth then I'm very disappointed to say the least, then Martins isn't that huge a talent that we all thought he was.

If you think martins is older than we know he is, then you must think adriano is close 50's? Oba acts like youngster in field and in interwiews.

If I'm not wrong, this scandal arised from Nigerian's FA's website. Well someone on another forum pointed out that the very same site mentioned that Martins made his debut against Ireland (Or was it Northern Ireland) in 2001. So, either the site is totally f*cked up, or Nigeria has another Obafemi Martins.

Im pretty good at estimating a age of a player, when he was supposedly 18 I always said he is class regardless but he looks 23, minus 5 years, now they say he might be 26 Im not suprised but does this take anything away from his goalscoring record and his amazing pace? nope.

Also Yakubu, I think he is 'put down' too, probably 5 years aswell, and maybe Kanu.

About Kanu and Yakubu you may have a case... Kanu seems like he must be 32 or 33... yet he is still somehow 28? If he was 28 I think he'd be more likely to be playing for a good team, not West Brom. Players peak at 29, which is a pretty undisputed comment. Yet somehow I get the feeling he was 28 when he was at Arsenal....

Martins looks young though. 19.

BUT you know what is really weird? I read in an interview that Martins' referred to Adriano as 'little' brother... :scared: :scared: Was this a printing error or a 'slip of the tongue' ?

Martins older then he says he says? Wow, these African players always have to deal with this BS. I don't believe he's really older, but I guess anything is possible. That would totally suck if it was found that he was lying and he ended up getting banned.

Yes, African players trying to ply their trade in Europe do indeed try their hands at fake passports. They'd do anything to get a contract. I mean, what's 70,000 euros to ensure the whole passport looks real, when u know u can make a few million. Sounds a good investment to me. However, Martins look innocent. Its just a gut feeling. I hope he's cleared of these allegations. Martins plays like a youngster, ie, he's quite rash when it comes to decision making. You can't fake that though. How can he be 27?! Uncle Mancini will kill him! :dielaugh:
