I bet santon will play again !
Yeah, because our alternative options are a player who everyone on this forum hates, and Gabigol 2.0.
I'm trying my best not to panic. We've deserved to lose three games in a row, and this was the first one where all of our blunders finally bit us in the butt. It might serve as a wake up call. If anything, it serves as a stark reminder what this season is about. We're not winning the league this year. Spalletti probably isn't the manager to return us to title glories.
We have one objective right now: finish with more points than Lazio. Our game against them in a couple weeks is possibly one of the two most important fixtures of the season. If we lose that, this season could hit the fan fast. Win that, and we're on track. With that being said, screw the Coppa Italia. Rest our players against Milan because we NEED to beat Lazio.
Anyway, Sassuolo are (like Udinese) a complete garbage team. It's almost like selling 3 of your 4 best players while not signing reinforcements will somehow make your team worse. Who knew? This team has been raped by Milan, Verona, and Fiorentina in recent weeks; three teams we handled quite easily. No player on their team has more than 3 goals, FFS. We also have a nice bonus in that Sassuolo have a mid-week fixture in the Coppa against Atalanta, so they might be tired.
Anything less than three points will be inexcusable. Anything less than three points will likely cause mass panic. And anything less than three points will likely start a 2015 Mancini-esque free fall down the league table.
