Fifi is right, better find a new player than going back for him.

Some of the posters on here have Moratti Syndrome. The symptoms of the Syndrome include:

- a tendency to always refer to our past;
- delusional love for players whose abilities are on the wane/have waned; and
- an inability to move forward and look to the future.

One dimensional :lol:

you don't win all those titles with Barcelona with a Krkić or a Bendtner, he was amazing for Barcelona

but ok, I know most of you probably hated Eto'o before he came here just because he played for Barcelona

I completely agree.
One dimensional :palm::trollol:
Jesus, he was the freakin best striker in the world since 2004, he and Ronaldinho created the new era of Barcelona, in 2006 he was unstoppable, he played everywhere in attack like he did with us but he was 6 years younger, indeed in 2006 he should have won the Golden Ball.
Also, few people know he broke his knee in 2007 and after that he lost part of his physical explosivity; yet, he came back and he made up the best forward trio of modern football in 2009.
So much monodimensional that in 5 years of Barça, the two years he was injured, the other so called "stars" of Barcelona won nothing without him; at 22/23, he nearly single handedly took Mallorca in CL, and get them past Real Madrid letting them win their first (and probably only) Copa del Rey (with a brace in the final).
You are right: average Interista fan hated him, because he came here instead of his beloved "Zlatan", but not only that, he did infinitely better here than "Zlatan" as well (also, he did infinitely better than "Zlatan" even at Barcelona, LOL); they even hated him because he left us, proving that the post-Treble team, without him, was worth shit: all the so called "legends", that the average Interfan usually rates higher than Eto'o (Sneijder, Milito etc.) were still here, but we were ridicolous anyway, nearly laughable.
But, oh well, we saved 10 mln per year from Eto'o wages, too bad we paid the cadaver of Milito 6 mln/year until yesterday and we also lost money from the CL.
The only one who said how things really were has been Thiago Motta: he said that, without Eto'o, Inter was FINISHED. And he was right.

Now Eto'o is past it, true, and I myself don't want him to come back, but if I were him, I couldn't care less to come back here, I would just sit and see in which year Inter is going to be able to come back in CL since I left. ;)

I'm tired of repeating myself..

Eto last year was in EPL where players mostly rely on physical atrributes to succeed.

Serie A is more clinical and that is why older strikers tend to survive longer at it.

Palacio at EPL wouldn't even get a minute!

Even if he was complete shit, he is free!! And we can sign him on one year contract!!

0% risk!

I say he would do well here, you say he won't. Why not just try him for a year and see what happens. We need an SS and Thohir clearly doesn't want to spend a dime.

Eto is free!

His wages are high enough to turn this into an expensive transfer.

I'm a fan boy of Eto'o but we don't need him because his wages are insane and he only wants to play CF this days...we have Icardi,Osvaldo and Palacio who can play in that role.We need a SS!

Our conversation started as "if he accepts a reasonable wage".

Comedic Post of the Year
Forget the wages, his form has been turbulent since leaving us for Russia and the first ever glimmer of the old Eto'o came as a reaction to Mourinho's provocation.

So much for playing in the CL again.

He should have seen if Arsenal are interested now that Giroud's got a broken foot.
