Frisko, the point with that was so that Stankovic wouldn't risk being suspended in the first game next season. Morally wrong of course, but still quite smart. Now he'll be suspended for a useless match instead.

You're shitting me right? Do you really think he did it for that? I can't believe it!

Adriano - #10
I'd rather be suspended for some pointless game as well then miss the first game of next season. I wouldn't be surprised if he did get that yellow with that mindset.

J. Zanetti receives his 2nd yellow card all season!

Does anyone know if he's ever had a red card before?!
Yes, against Parma in a Coppa Italia match. Bergomi got sent off and Zanetti & Colonesse were also sent off a minute later for protesting to the referee. They were straight reds.

Anyways, i haven't had the time to watch the match yet, but i've seen the gol. All i can say is, Cruz did well in assisting Adriano for his gol. The latter took his strike very well and i hope this is the confidence booster he will need to sustain himself for the next season.

Beating Sampdoria away is a feat that is very impressive actually. Inter since the Christmas break is a completely different team. Apart from the fact that we still fail against Milan, this team has managed to become one that is mentally and physically strong to last 90 mins with one singular objective - a win.

Ciao,
Tim

Actually Tommi, it was Adriano who was fouled when we scored the goal but the ref let the play continue as far as I can remember.
Now i saw it again. Hard to tell who was fouling, really. It could´ve gone either way, gladly it went our way this time.

Anywayz, no comments from Mancini? Too emotional for him or is he protesting because of soemthing?

Apparently Mrs Mantovani, daughter of former Samp president, gave an interview to a local newspaper, and said that she was a Mancini fan, but that he let her down as a human being.

Mancio didn't like it, that's why he didn't go to the press room today.

Yeah, and Sampdoria fans are insulting our club and Mancini for winning this game. Apparently we are villains now for winning a match that was pointless for us and being sportsmen. :D

Not everyone are like Lazio and Roma from last week. Former player Kennet Andersson was also in the studio today and admitted that there have been several times that opponents have talked to him, and wanted to corrupt the match. Only in Italy though.

Inter didn't follow the "rules" and tried to win, and hence we and Mancini are jerks.

It was indeed inside the box, but Capitano got the ball.
So? It´s a change of rules all of the sudden? :D

No, it's not a change of rules, it was not a foul in the first place. Capitano had a clean touch to the ball first.

I didn´t think it was a foul either, but...the referee gave them a freekick because of that. So, he should have give a penalty because it happened in penalty area, no?

Yes, it happened in the penalty area and it should've been a penalty instead of a freekick. But since it wasn't a foul, a freekick was better than a penalty.

After the first 15 minutes of watching this match, I thought we were gonna be crushed.

Also, I wouldnt say that we were lucky, but I would say that Sampdoria were unlucky!

Adriano scored a nice goal with an excellent finished and, if I recall correctly, was on the brink of getting #2 but the referee penalised him for a foul he didnt commit.

Adriano maybe didn't play half as good as the real Adriano, but our midfielders were barely feeding the strikers with good passes/crosses. Our creativity today was extremely poor. Also, Cruz played like f**kin sh*t.

Cordoba, Cambiasso, Capitano, and Martello were our saviors today. Thank you guys.
