again i remind everyone this does NOT MEAN 30 million to us.
We only own half of Handanovic, which cost us ~8m+half of faraoni
The minimum it will cost us to sign him outright is another 10m - assuming we have a clause. If we dont have a clause, then why would Udinese say yes to any offer we make them? They wouldnt. They'll take half of the offer, or 15million.
So 30 million becomes 20 million to us if we sign him outright, or 15 million to us if we dont.
The first case means a total of 12 million profit to Inter. The second case means a total of 7 million profit to Inter.
You tell me if you think that's worth it?
I believe the coownership thing is just an accounting trick. If not, there would be shitload of rumour about Inter trying to include more youngsters to the deal or Udinese asking ridiculous price for another half etc...

Browha, can I ask where are you getting these numbers from? From what I understand, we bought half of Handa for 6m+half of Faraoni, making Handanovic's valuation at 14-16m (12m cash plus Faraoni). There is no way to confirm this as the clubs do not disclose details, but I suspect that Inter have a agreement in place where we can give another 6m plus the other half of Faraoni to complete the transaction - Udinese gets into these co-ownership agreements only to help the buying club on the costs of acquisitions.
Assuming Faraoni is worth 2m, then if we sell handa for 30m, we make a profit of around 16-17m (taking intoo account a year of amortisation).
Is it worth it? I don't know. It depends on how highly we rate the likes of Bardi or Carizzo, and who do we get for that money... clearly, if we go after another top keeper, this move will be silly. But if, for example, our management really rates Bardi, and spends that money to get a quality striker like Benteke, then it may make some sense.
Personally, I would hate to see Handanovic go, he is our only world class player at the moment...
Barcelona are ready to offer a two-year contract to Pepe Reina and thus the idea of Samir Handanovic is now fading away. Inter are safe.

Let's hope that doesn't mean that our genius mercato team will sell Handa for 12 millions to Liverpool :work:
